Problem with Malata DVP-520

I don't know what happened exactly with my malata player but now all the menus are in Chinese Symbols so it's impossible for me to change anything with my remote.

Guys I need your help to reset the menu in english. I don't have my guide anymore...

HELP!

Try unplugging the DVD player from the outlet. Wait a few minutes, then plug it back in.

Resetting DVP-520

I am not sure if my issue is related. I was playing with the video formatting. It must be something related to progressive/interlace that I messed up. That results in not having any picture displayed on both by 1080p LCD and ancient CRT. Is there a way to set the player to the factory default. Unplugging it from power for HOURS did not help. Please help.

This happened to me with my 996 a long time ago. The trick was holding down the "subpicture" button on the remote for about 5 seconds (it was in the manual but not easy to find). I don't know if the 520 works the same way.
