Help with Panasonic HT 95 Home Theater System

Has anybody had their subwoofer go out on this system? Ours did a few weeks ago and, while I am not technically adept, I didn't see any problem inside the subwoofer. If there is a fuse for the subwoofer, could it be at the connection area of the DVD player? I really like the system, it has been outstanding, but the Panasonic service guys want $50 just to look at the subwoofer...and that's just not worth it, would be better to save up for a new system. I can't get help from Panasonic at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

ADD: The subwoofer had sound in the center speaker port, so it's not the subwoofer...must be the subwoofer port in the DVD player. HMMM...anybody have experience with this? Thank you.
