I have pre-ordered and pre-paid for the Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD Player, so now I need a new TV. I am planning on purchasing a widescreen 1080p LCD HDTV for my bedroom in the next few weeks and would appreciate some advice on what/where to buy.

Budget: $2500-$2700
Size: 37-40 inches
To be used for: standard DVDs, HD-DVDs, and some regular television

I am considering the Sony KDL-40V2500 40" Bravia V-Series 1080p LCD HDTV.

I would prefer to order the TV from some place like Circuit City who will delivery, install, and connect everything.

Do I also need to purchase HDMI cables, or will those come with the TV/HD DVD player?

I don't think you are going to do much better than the SXRD. That's what I would get if I were you.
