Um, I meant that there won't be enough signal to properly operate that many emitters. I assumed you had a plan for splitting that many connections, like you linked. But I'm reasonably sure the Powermids will not have enough power. The result will be you push the remote's button and nothing happens. I could be wrong, of course. Try this, it's $100, but that's pretty reasonable for what you get, the Powermids are $40: http://www.smarthome.com/59500.html
One tip for the emitters is that you don't necessarily have to attach them to the components. Attaching them to the cabinet door or the shelf in front of the IR receptor can be a better (and cleaner look) setup. Also, there are "blink" emitters that flash light when you presh a button, or non-blink types that don't flash. Pick your poison.

I like the tip about taping the emitters to the inside of the door.
I did check on the RE549 being able to drive all 10 emitters from its lone output jack, and the support guy said that they did test it, and the RE549 was found capable of driving 10 emitters (after using 4 of the 2-in-1 jack adapters to create 5 jacks for 5 dual-emitters). Perhaps I'll also be a testimonial if I actually do order the IR/RF extenders with the dual-emitters.

I need one of these, too, someday. The audio rack is behind the couch (hooked up to the projector and flat panel in the front of the room), so you have to point some weaker remotes backwards/sideways to work. Makes the Harmony a bit flakey as well unless you point it straight at it.
