Take a look at this DVI switch. Am I missing something?
My Toshiba TV has a single DVI input and I'm thinking of getting the Sony HDMI upconvert DVD changer (as a holdover until the next gen war gets sorted out and affordable). I already have a HD TiVo hooked up to the DVI input.
Here's the DVI switch I'm looking at:
http://www.markertek.com/Product.asp...Item=DVIAB%2D1
Both of the inputs are HDMI and I'll need a DVI output. I know this unit won't do that based on the special note, but I should be able to get an adapter to go HDMI to DVI on the cable to my TV.
I feel I'm missing something in this to make it work, plus it's at least $60 cheaper than any other DVI switch I've seen. Am I missing anything here?
If anybody can find a remote controlled HDMI switch for a similar price, I'd like to know that as well.

There is a thread somewhere at AVS that discusses this, at least somewhat. I believe it worked just fine for people. It just passes through DVI or HDMI, so you need to do adapters on one side or the other. Should be good with just one adapter at the TV and use the switch for HDMI.
It is a simple push button switch. The cheapest remote switch is over double. That is also the subject of a thread at AVS, maybe the same thread. As usual, Monoprice sells the cheap stuff. They now appear to have a button switch even cheaper than Markertek's. That is pretty new, I hadn't seen it last time I looked.
Edit:
When I say there's a thread, I mean a thread that talks about these specific devices. I can't even remember which forum it is in, though. You could probably search for Markertek or Monoprice and HDMI switch.

Thanks Spiky. I saw that Monoprice switch, but also noticed it's ETA is 05-10. Usually a month out could be pretty iffy, so I'm willing to pay a little extra to get it now.
