TiVo Time Adjustment
I am having a problem with my TiVo. I looked at tivocommunity but didn't see a solution.
Anyway, it seems lately my TiVo is about a minute off. It changes or stops recording before the show is over. This isn't a clipping or padding problem.
Is there a way to adjust the clock on the TiVo so I don't need to adjust the stop time on all of my shows?

First off, a few questions. What kind of TiVo? Is the timer actually showing the correct time and it just stops a minute earlier than when it should? Or does it stop recording at :59 when it thinks it's :00?
If you have an HD DirecTiVo, they have a known issue with bad harddrives and your problem can be an early symptom of that.
If it's just a problem with the clock, either the daily call (when it resets the time) or a reboot should take care of that. If it doesn't, a deeper problem like above could be the cause.

It is an 80hr. series 2. The recording is not stopping short, it is more like the tivo time is slightly off from my cable companies time.
I will try a reboot and see if it synchs back up.
Thank you for the reply.

I tried a reboot (from the menu, not by unplugging, I don't know it that makes a difference) and it did not work. I assume my cable-company is off by a minute? Possibly to piss off TiVo users and forcing customers to switch to their box?
However, I did notice last night while watching simpsons that the "press thumbs up to record" icon stayed on the top corner of the screen, after FF through the commercials and into the show. I thought it was a fluke before, but could my TiVo be going bad?

My TiVo clock is within about 1 second off from the TV guide channel, and about 2 seconds according to the clock on the cablebox banner. So I don't know where the problem is coming from.
