What are the best wireless speakers?

We are looking to buy some wireless speakers for my grandfather this christmas. We can't go wired because he's old and stubborn and doesnt want a lot of wires running through the house. Whats a decent two piece system?

Do you need speakers that will connect to an existing system? Unless technology has vastly improved in the last few years, wireless speakers are almost universally awful. If this is for a second listening zone, like a den or patio, you may be off with a small desktop system instead. I haven't heard a pair of wireless speakers in years though - someone else may have a better idea.

They will just be connected to a tv, not a reciever or anything.

There are starting to be Bluetooth options that should work much better than older wireless systems. Why can't you run wires in the wall where they won't be seen?

(absolutely no idea if this product is worth anything at all, just an example)
