Looking for good dts dvd player

Currently have a Sony S500D that I've had for years and am happy with, but it does'nt offer dts. Would like to upgrade but don't know what to get.
Running it with a Denon 1804 with 5.1 speakers.

It won't matter. They just pass the signal to your receiver. And every player can pass it through these days. (except perhaps some portables) There is very little difference in pass through quality for DD or DTS, whether spending $100 or $3000. I'd look for video issues rather than audio, that's far more different from model to model.

For inexpensive but excellent video and all-around operation, the Pioneer 285 is incredible. For region-free and playing every PC format known to us, the Philips 642 is popular. For upconversion to HDTV resolutions over DVI, the Oppo player is great. For the ultimate machine, check out the Denon 5910, but that costs more than my last car did.

I've got the Pioneer, it's great.

Lol, the Denon for $3500 to the Pioneer for $80, quite a range. Think I'll check out the Pioneer.
Thanks for the info.
