Panasonic A110 error msg?
My Panny A110 has decided not to play any of my DVD's. I get teh message "This disk cannot be played" or osmething like that and the screen on the player says no play. It will still play CD's, and it doesn't look like any settings like parental controlls were changed. Anyone have this problem before?
I still have my backup Apex, but the Panny ws my first player....

My A110 died several years ago. Lots of people have had problems, the lasers were notoriously bad and prone to burnout. I'd buy a cleaning disc, try it one, and then toss it to the curb.

The A110's are a pretty old players so it is probably just a bad DVD pickup (those players had dual pickups one playing CD's the other DVD's) so I would NOT put any money into it outside of a shot-in-the-dark cleaning. The newer players are very inexpensive and will perform much better then your A110 anyways with much better compatibility for MP3's, DVDR's etc..

As a former owner, I'm just surprised to hear that any A-110's are even out there anymore. Mine died within days of the warranty expiration, thanks to the bad laser problem mentioned above.
Not to bash, but my experience with their customer service department put me off buying a new Panasonic product ever again.
Just be glad you got as many years out of it as you did.
