all in one comparison question (help)
I'm getting ready to move into an apt. at college and only have around 200 bucks to spend on a home theatre package. So, I'm obviously going to have to get a cheap one. At best buy I found two that I am thinking about getting but didn't know what everyone else's opinions were.
One is an Oritron:
it's 5.1 with a progressive scan dvd player. 300 total watts split up 50 a piece. It's 169.99 and is dolby digital/dts.
the other is a Zenith for 229.99:
it's 5.1 as well with a progressive scan dvd player. It has 330 total watts with an 80 watt subwoofer instead of 50. The only real difference i noticed at the store was this had dolby digital pro logic II and I didn't see anywhere that said the oritron did.
I also have never heard of oritron, so that makes me a little hesitant. I'm not really sure how good zenith is and would 30 more watts matter a great deal, or can you really not tell a difference until you get into the high numbers? Any other specs I should look at too to make the decision would help. Let me know your opinions and that would greatly be appreciated! THANKS!
jason.
