Question on multi region DVD player

Will a multi region modded DVD player have the same image quality as the same player that isn't modded? The reason I ask is I have found a few places that have region modded RP-82's for less than new non modded ones are selling for on ebay right now.

What's the price? I am about to buy a RP-62. If the 82 is cheaper than what they go for on ebay usually, I'm interested.

As long as the mod is profesionally done I don't see why it would affext image quality.

I found one place that has them and they are even the dual voltage ones so if you live or plan on moving abroad it will still work for $319 plus shipping.
