Wife Suggested Speaker Stand??

My wife did not like my plans for my homemade speaker stands for my JBL S38, they are large and I was making the top platform the size of the speaker (17.5x11.75) and the base slightly larger with a pillar that could be filled with sand or shot. This had little WAF so she has found some ideas of her own that I do not know how good they would actually be. Here is the links of what she has found, I know they are not the best, but are any of them acceptable from an audio stand point? Thanks
1st option
2nd Option
3rd option
4th option and wife's favorite

Are you set on wood stands? They have some very nice, low profile stands available....most likely black iron, steel, etc.

ps. I love the B.C., they have a bed set that I'd love to get.

I would get what your wife wants (or you may not hear the end of it ) but try to get something else that you also want at the same time.

For example, Ok, we'll get #4, but I think we should also get *item you want (can be anything)* if we get #4.

I like 4 until you put solid speakers on it. To me, it does not look as good to have something that looks more open and lighter, supporting some larger speakers. I think option 3 is kinda ugly as far as style.

I like 1 or 2. I also like the fact you can store DVDs in the one.

No way! Option #3 is cool.

You just like the other one because then you can store your melons perfectly!

I am doing something similar, I do not have a lot of room behind the sofa, so I like number 2, and it holds cds.

I had looked at the pottery barn version

I would just split it and have 2 seperate ones which matched on either side.

and the shelves are adjustable so it will hold dvd's

so for bombay I vote number 2
