Help With DVD Player Hookup
I've got a Toshiba DVD player I'm trying to hook up to my Toshiba TV. On the back of the TV I have 2 sets of composite inputs, 1 component, 1 s-video and 1 set of composite out.
I have my VCR in the second composite, an a/v switchbox in the first composite (game systems) and my DVD player in the component.
The problem is, if I try to split (y adapters) into any of the used audio in jacks (for the DVD player sound) the sound is disabled on the other device.
How would I connect the DVD players audio to the TV in this situation?

Chances are your TV automatically assigns the Component Video to the Audio Input #1. So my suggestion is that you Connect the DVD player to Audio In #1, with component video, and then put your A/V box on the input through your VCR, then connect the VCR to the second input on the TV. Or, just connect the VCR to the switchbox, and then the switchbox to the TV. Either way, you are probably going to have to daisychain the A/V box and VCR in some way to have it all be happy.
