HT setups...?
Ok, Please dont flame me but, here it goes.
I just finished setting up my HT recently, and was wondering about certain setups and if I am doing them correctly.
My TV/Cable is setup using digital optical cable and my DVD is using digital coaxial cable. When I watch a NON-DD or NON-DTS DVD shoudl my reciever be set on Pro Logic 2? What about when I am watching regular TV? I have been using 6 CH Stereo, but not sure that is right.
Also what should my speaker settings be at in regards to the reciever? Right now I have all speakers/subs at +0 db, how should they be set?
Thanks!

Your dolby "setting" is dependent on how your receiver is set to receive the signal. Auto format is the most common method. If you are getting dolby 2.0 that maybe what the disc is.
The speakers need to be set using the test tones in the receiver at a minimum. A db reference level is not of much value as there is no standard across products for this. Set them up to your ear or better yet buy or borrow an spl meter.
