Question about PowerDVD XP 4.0, SB Audigy and DTS.

I have PowerDVD with the sound packs, (DTS, DD, etc) and I was wondering if I were to buy a simple 5.1 sound setup for my computer, will PowerDVD output DTS to the speakers, or will I need a sepearte DTS decoder for that?

Your "simple 5.1 sound setup" will have to have DTS decoding or you'll need an outboard decoder.

I think I was wrong about the need for a decoder. I haven't used this as my computer only has stereo.

Cyberlink says if you have a multi-channel card you can play DTS. So it sounds like if you have enough channels you'll get DTS with it being decoded by PowerDVD itself.
