I'm thinking of getting the RCA RT2500, because I LOVE all the inputs and outputs it has. A friend mentioned he didn't like the sound of RCA speakers (sounds "cheap" to him), and I never really listened to any RCA myself. Anyone have any thoughts. I do NOT want to spend $250 + and find out I'm not happy with the sound of the speakers.

Any input? I've been pretty set on this receiver/speaker combo for a while, but I'm willing to change. Maybe you can recommend something else in that price range with lots of inputs/outputs, and good sound. This system has 700watts... Here is a link

Just my .02 but I do not believe that RCA is known for their speakers.

Also this system does not have "700 watts". A peak momentary power output specification is worthless as a specification.

I would skip it all together. RCA products are worse than Sony products!

Get the Panasonic or Kenwood all in one if you are getting one

I would also avoid RCA (or most HTIAB systems for that matter) and build your own system from the ground up... Receiver, mains, center, surrounds, sub. Of course, it's going to set you back a lot more than $250, but you'll also know why you spent the money...

I have the RT2500, got it a few months ago. Works great, sounds good.
