Daewoo DVD-5700 question?
Will this player really play any DVD that's thrown at it? (see link)
PS : I'm not interested in doing the upgrade myself and will pay a few extra bucks for something that's already good to go....

The Daewoos are in the same class as the Apex, Sampo, Raite, etc..
The 'upgrade' consists of a few button presses on the remote, so it's not anything you should be willing to pay extra for unless you are afraid of remotes
MV disable is a different story.
www.nerd-out.com has a Daewoo forum on it you might want to check out before buying. Also, check out DarrenK's 5700 info page:

If you're looking at this model, I would suggest just going with an Apex 3201. You can find them from $99 to $129 at Kmart and Walmart and it upgrades the same way.
