TV Calibration Help

I just purchased the Video Essentials DVD and used it to calibrate my 27" Panasonic. It worked well, but now there is a small red splotch in the top right hand area of the TV 2X2 inches or so. Did my TV get damaged in the calibration or is there something I can do about this?

Did you go into the service menus of the TV when you did the calibration?

If you are talking about the menus where you adjust the color/brightness/sharpness... etc... then yes... I did go into those.

No thats not the service menu, that's the user menu

Video essentials should not have caused any image problems.. Sounds like the screen needs to be deguassed... did you move the TV while it was powered on?

Deguass that puppy. Has it been exposed to any magnetic fields? Speakers, kids with powerful magnets, etc.

You would have to use a Deguassing wand or pay a local shop $10-$20 to do it.... they just move the wand across the screen a few passes
