I have my new HT setup together for the most part. Just got the TV installed yesterday and the direcTV. Now, I have the direcTV receiver hooked to replay via a serial cable for channel control. but what do I need to do to record on the replay??

1) Split the signal from the receiver to the replay and the TV
2) Run the signal to the replayTV first, then from the replay to the TV
3) Something else?

Already had the replay, so didn't want the built in tivo.

One I get it set up, I can reprog the replay for satellite.

Then to watch TV you just use the Replay remote, you don't need to worry about the DirectTV at all.
