Time to buy new ...or repair?

My Panasonic A120 (not even 2 years old yet)
is freezing up and skipping uncontrollably.

I bought it for less than 300 bucks...but now I'm thinking I should just get a new player and not get it fixed.

ANy opinions?

It's not under warranty anymore... will Bestbuy or some other store service a product that I bought online? How much are they likely to charge?

any advice would be appreciated.

Have you tried cleaning the lens?

You're going to be better off to pick up a new player rather than repairing this older model.

You might want to consider grabbing the Amazon Pioneer 343 $135 deal. Here is the link to the post in the other bargains forum:

hey !!!

Hey !!

don't you post at AOD too ?

I would prefer to get the Panasonic RV31-K though...

a little more...but it looks better.

But it's another dang Panasonic...don't want to get burned again.

I dunno...have to think about it...

A lot of people like the Panasonic RV31-K. It's also a nice player. Do a search in this forum and you can read a lot of positive reviews.

If I remember correctly, it will play mp3 while the Pioneer does not.

Don't repair them! I had two, both went within a month of each other, I had to pay labor, both of the lasers. Cost me about $120 each. After getting them back, both died the same way in another 6 months time.

BTW, this was about 1 1/2 years ago.

What kind of TV do you own?

Some of the newer progressive players are quite nice.

You probably could get it repaired but it may not be worth it.
