Just wanted to let whoever was gonna purchase a Sony Wega 32" that Sams Wholesale is selling them for $799. And Sams doesnt charge taxes. Last week they were selling it for $899. Damn good price. Has anyone else seen this price?

Does Costco charge tax? Thought every retailer had to charge a state sales tax? Someone educate me please because I would sure like to get the Toshiba 65H80 at Costco without sales tax!

Sony Wega

I'm from Indiana. Not sure what model the 32" Wega is but its probably the lesser model without PIP/etc.

Sams

Ripper:

Sams is not a retailer, they are a wholesaler which might make the difference without adding taxes to purchases.

I work at Sam's and they do charge tax unless you are a reseller buying candy for a vending machine, etc. That Wega model does not have picture in picture. Our store just got the 32 with PIP and it's $899.

That's what I thought Gross. I know they charge tax here in Nevada so I'm wondering why Indiana's Sams doesn't charge state sales tax?

I feel like driving 200 miles south to visit Geoff in Oregon and maybe he can point out the best local place for WEGA.... Oregon is a salestax-free state....

Is there a salestax-free state near you?

My bad guys, Sams in Indiana does charge tax. I bought food that day and since food isnt taxed it wasnt on there. Buy anyway $799 for the 32" is good.

The Sams I work at in Ames, Iowa has the 32 " with 16x9 enhanced w/o PIP for $899. With PIP $899. I don't know why they are the same price.

Thanks for clearing that up Rubberman2k. I almost moved to Indiana just to save taxes on a Toshiba Widescreen :-)
