Reverb, thanks for your input in this matter.
As I do not completely agree with all aspects
of your appraisal, your professional opinion
as a fellow industry colleague is duely noted.
Clearly the XL-1 is not perfect, but the images
that it captures, at least from what I've shot,
are simply beautiful. As an HD filmmaker my
reason for even using the XL-1 was that of
convenience. The project did not require HD
and its budget was limited at best. I will take
into consideration the advice that you've given
and move ahead accordingly.
