As you may know, the AVR-4800 requires external amplification for the rear surrounds. So I need a 2-channel amp. I'm not sure what exactly to look for in an amp, so could anyone make some suggestions? It's pretty obvious that I need to match the wattage, of course. I've heard of a $700 amp that was made specially for this purpose but I'd rather not spend that much just to free up 2 channels of sound if I don't have to. Help me out!

I don't have this setup, but any nice 2 channel would work.
I like:
Acurus
Anthem
Parasound
Rotel
A 2 channel with 150-200 watts a channel will cost around $400-500 from these companies.
Why do you think you need to match the wattage? There is really no reason to. Just keep it semi close(within 25 watts below to 100 watts above) to your 4800's wattage and you will be fine.
I recently saw a New Anthem 2 channel amp sell on ebay for $350
