B1G1 + 25% off + Triple Bonus Points

20120803JBST5D

1 FREE Blu-ray for every 1 you buy at 25% off regular Club price is valid for a limited time only! This offer applies to Blu-rays only. Your free selection must be of equal or lesser value than your qualifying purchase of $19.95 or higher. Blu-ray sets can be used as a qualifier but cannot be taken as your free selection.
The way I read it, the terms make it sound like the first title would be 25% off club prices and the second would be free. But in my cart it shows the first title as being full price, second title free. Only when I add a third title does one show up at 25% off(ex. 1st= full price, 2nd = 25% off, 3rd = free).

$10 Gas Cash with any purchase.

Can't figure out what it means or how it works. I don't see any Gas gift cards on CH like the Fandango ones a few months back. Any ideas?

Does indeed work with BP purchases, but not with bluray sets BP purchases.

Thanks for posting that. I just picked up Scrooged, Leaving Las Vegas and Robocop 2 for 33 bucks and change. They've been on my Amazon wishlist for a long time and there just hasn't been a good price on them.

Anyone getting the 25% off B1G1 to work. They are charging me full price.

It does work with some WB bluray sets preorders like Vampire Diaries S3 and Big Bang Theory S5

I have not tried that code any more. After playing around with some of the codes that are out there, the B2G1 w/ the normal 40% seems to be the best of the lot. Unless you're looking to cash in some bonus points, then the .01 shipping is obviously best.

Great catch, thanks! I just re-placed my bonus points order from a few weeks ago. All but one title was a pre-order for the future, so I have asked them to cancel the remaining titles.

It is giving 25% off when you have one item in your cart, but as soon as you add the free item, the first item goes back to full price. The rules for this coupon clearly states:
"1 FREE Blu-ray for every 1 you buy at 25% off regular Club price plus Triple Bonus Points is valid for a limited time only! This offer applies to Blu-rays only."

So it appears the coupon was not programmed correctly... IF they can fix this, it is a SLIGHTLY better deal than B2G1F + 40% off.

B1G1 + 25% off = 125% of 2 titles, or an average of 62.5% off each
B2G1 + 40% off = 180% off of 3 titles, or an average of 60% off each

Obviously these examples only work when the free title is the same price as the titles you buy. Seeing as 2.5% is negligible, IF they fix the coupon, I guess I'll use whichever one works with the number of titles I want (since one coupon requires PAIRS of titles to be purchased, and the other requires THREE titles)

You lose some of that advantage because of the bonus points, triple in this case. You do not get them for free items. So if you order six blus on the B1G1 you would get 18 bonus points. Six with the B2G1 gets you 24 bonus points. So a bonus point per item. I figure a bonus point is worth about $.50. The exact percentage loss depends on the price of the items. But it's going to come out very close regardless. And as you said, the number of titles you want could decide it.

^ Good point. I knew they were both triple bonus points, but I didn't factor in the qualifying titles. BTW, I never realized before that you are from Madison. Wisconsin is well represented in here!

I figured I'd browse the titles for potential items to order. Titanic 3D is $60 MSRP? WOW! Guess I won't be ordering that one... $36 even with 40% off...

Yeah, the high list hurts. Would really like Captain America & Thor 3D but at $55......anyone know how many bonus points these earn? The 25% B1G1 code still isn't working...

I don't think this is stackable.
FYI, this is once per account. It now comes up as expired on the account where I used it, but still works on my other account...

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Received an email with $15 off $30 code but it isn't working correctly.

ex. added Titanic but no discount showed up

added Hitchcock's Spellbound to put me over $50 and the discount showed up and knocked the total shipped to around $41

I email them back about it but have yet to hear anything. Will update when I do

I wanted a couple of BD sets that acted as qualifiers, and I was able to get Titanic 3D as my free selection. I ordered Mad Men Season Five and the Universal Classic Monsters collection (I pay tax at Amazon, so I'm saving several dollars at CH even with the shipping charge). My total for all three titles was $141.91 shipped, and I will earn 48 bonus points.

Amazon has the list price at $55. They're probably right.

I live in West Allis, but grew up in the Sherman Park area, near Washington High School (but went to Marshall). Had some friends from Whitefolks Bay though...

Getting box sets isn't a bad idea, since you can earn a ton of BP. And seeing as you can't get a BD set for free anyway, you might as well get the most expensive single title you can. I ordered Universal Monsters from Amazon UK, which is 33.08 pounds shipped (under $52 US). They also have other box sets considerably cheaper like the Hitchcock and Bond sets... They "should" be region free, but I'll be looking for confirmation...

I thought of, but decided not to call it that.

OK, it was pure white when I went to school. But hey, some black folks live there now. That's how we've won three state basketball championships. Damn, I probably shouldn't say that.

We were also near Lox Point and Bagleside.

(BTW, I'm of Jewish descent so I can say that. )
