Finally got it to work. For some reason it wouldn't give me free shipping with 8 Blu-rays in my cart. I removed 2 and everything was peachy. (No, I didn't have any boxed sets.) I'm happy now.

She did say that they are well aware of the problem and that they might cancel the repeat orders on their end and to call back on Monday to find out if they were able to do this. If they do ship out, she told me to just refuse the package and send them back for a refund.

I'm certainly happy that it appears that I'm going to get my original order. However, I'm going to be out $150 until I can get the duplicate packages back to CH for a refund.
Same here, bummer, oh well.

Hmmm. I got free ship to work with the 805640.

I got Bullitt and Cool Hand Luke for:

Subtotal:
$19.54

Shipping and Processing:
$0.00

Tax:
$0.00

Total:
$19.54

And I DID reach the confirmation page. (i.e. there were no problems or timeouts with my order, and it was just placed in the last minute or two).

For those of you with duplicate orders, could you do me a favor? Call CH at 1-800-262-2001 and pick the options for English, to place an order, then check the status of your orders and let me know if the duplicates are listed there as well. When you do so, it goes through each individual item, and not an overall order. I'm just curious if you can trust what that says or not.

Tip: combining sets with blu-rays can make up for the shipping on the sets. I got:

The Bank Job
Widescreen
4938304 Standard Processing $0.00
Free
21
Widescreen
4939005 Standard Processing $0.00
Free
The Forbidden Kingdom
Widescreen
4955100 Pre-Order Processing $29.96
Mr. Brooks
Widescreen
4918900 Standard Processing $0.00
Free
Dexter: The Complete Second Season
Widescreen
4950705 Pre-Order Processing $23.20
Eureka: Season Two
Widescreen
4937702 Standard Processing $21.58

Subtotal:$74.74
Shipping & Processing:$12.98
Tax:$0.00
Total:$87.72

The sets, which were $23+ and $21+ got me two essentially $30 blu-rays for free. Why a set in the low $20s gets a free $30 blu-ray I have no idea but I'll take it.

If I were getting all blu-rays I'd have to spend $30 to get another $30 blu-ray. This way I get a $30 blu-ray for free by spending less than $30 for a set, even including shipping.

I don't know if I've explained this very well but it makes sense to me. If there are any sets you want you might try experimenting in your cart.

What codes are being used for free shipping? I tried the ones in the first post and it tells me they are invalid. Are they only for blurays?

Good call on that. I'm looking at the Robot Chicken sets. $17.97 with shipping and any of the $21.71 Blu-Rays work as a freebie. It's tempting.

If you're referring to the bug where you can't select a state, try a different browser. I was able to get it to work in Firefox but not Safari.

Thanks OP! I was surprised to find the Classic Sci-Fi Ultimate Collection 6-disc set for $30, and it allowed me to get Close Encounters for free.

I got 2 orders to go through. No hangups or anything. Hope they don't mess with them or anything later on down the line. I'm new to blu-ray but this seems like a pretty good place to start.

Oh no, not that one. Sorry. I should have clarified. It keeps telling me that my address is not valid. My friend is getting the same problem.

I placed a very large order around 8pm, so still working then. Got all the way thru to the confirmation screen & #, and then it went to the receipt screen just fine. Seems all is fixed. Order shows up under MY ACCOUNT area...

Funny thing though, I used the free shipping code and was charged $5.99 for S&H and $17 tax. I don't recall being hit for tax before. Wondering if I should call & complain and try and get the $23 back. I am a big customer of theirs, so....

My avg was $15/blu-ray. If I can get the $23 back, then my avg will drop to $13.85/blu-ray.

Either way, still happy!

No Blurays for me, but I was going to get the new Dark City Director's Cut DVD anyways, so I preordered that and grabbed Ingmar Bergman's Persona, the only film I don't have from that set of 5 that was released as a super expensive box set. About $20 shipped for the two of them, I'll take it.

Well I'm done I think. Six orders all together.

American Gangster HD-DVD + Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay DVD = 12.41
I Am Legend HD-DVD + Hellboy BR = 17.98
Robot Chicken Season 1 + Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle BR = 17.97
Robot Chicken Season 2 + Men In Black BR = 17.97
Robot Chicken Season 3 (preorder) + Galapagos BR = 20.96
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 3 (preorder) + Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay BR = 29.96
117.25 Total / 12 Titles (4 Sets, 2 HD, 5 BR, 1 DVD) = 9.77 per title

Yes, I ordered the new Harold and Kumar twice. I originally got the DVD, before realizing I could make the Blu-Ray a freebie. I'll just sell the DVD, it's easier than trying to cancel or change that order.

The only things left I really want are the Robot Chicken Star Wars DVD and the newest Futurama movie. I just can't seem to figure out a way to make either of them a good deal no matter what I pair them with. Anyone have any suggestions?

Could not get the free shipping to work. It showed up as a banner, even, but a shipping charge was added on the confirmation page.

I had a tough time picking titles. I'm not ready to really start double-dipping on BD just yet (hell, I still don't have an HDTV). Most of what I wanted was either not available for free or was too cheap to "waste" a freebie on.

The Invaders: The First Season
$21.58
L.A. Confidential Blu-ray
$19.54
Out of the Past
FREE
Close Encounters of the Third Kind 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition Blu-ray
FREE

I got free shipping to work by using the account-specific link CH sent in yesterday's e-mail offer. It made the free shipping banner show up and I didn't see any shipping charges on my confirmation pages or in my account history.

I thought I may have some duplicate orders, but what's reflected on my account with orders is what was given over the phone - no duplicates.

This doesn't really address your question though (people WHO KNOW they have duplicate orders). If someone had duplicate orders, did they show up under "my orders" as such?

I was able to get one last order in under the wire. I got I Am Legend HD DVD for $17.98 and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Blu-Ray for free. Since I Am Legend has a list price of $35.95, any Blu-Ray with a list price of $35.95 or less qualified as the freebie. I almost didn't make it because I was wavering between Cuckoo's Nest and Bonnie and Clyde as the freebie. Not too shabby for $9 a pop. BTW, my order went through just fine this time.

There's a hold on my credit card for all 3 orders(1 original, 2 duplicates). However, only 1 of the orders is listed on the site and the FunCash has been appropriately deducted. I feel confident that they did cancel the 2 duplicate orders and it'll just take a few days for the temporary hold to disappear from my credit card.
