Now that their blu selection has expanded, I might pick up some more blus!

If I could choose between saving $6.99 on box set shipping OR "saving" $4.80 by getting a free regular DVD, I'd rather get the free shipping. There are a number of 3+ disc sets priced below $19.95 that are on my buy list that I would consider getting with a box set free shipping code, but that I won't get just to get a free $19.95 DVD.
FYI, not worth getting as a purchase unless you can get a freebie with it since it doesn't count towards commitment and it has been $15.99 or less in the store a few times.

Criterions will be free with all but a few of the cheaper Blu-Rays. The Blu-Rays have a high enough regular price to get you just about any DVD on the site free.

I'm almost certain I'm going to fulfill tonight with this deal. It's just too good to pass up. I already looked and I can easily find three of the $21.71 titles to keep the price as low as possible.

The SNL season one box is a great price at $28, and it counts as a fulfillment and gets you a criterion free.

I guess this is a sign of good thing to come on Blurays in the future of the club.
For those of us slowing down on SD purchases, it looks like you can enter the b1g1 SD code for free shipping, then order just blu-rays and still get free shipping.

I have gone to the checkout page to confirm this, but haven't placed an actual order because I'm having trouble deciding on my 3rd blu.

Why not take the two SD titles. Afterall, they are free!

That would be pointless. The two DVD titles are completely free. If you don't want them pick out a couple good titles and give them to friends or donate them to your local library or something. Why pass on two free movies because you don't want regular DVD anymore?

EDIT: Sorry SBJ, totally missed your post saying the same basic thing.

Well, considering my stack of unwatched movies, I'm trying to take a "quality, not quantity" approach. I don't expect that to last very long, though.

Plus, with the recent b1g4 sale I got all the SD titles I want except for some pre-orders that aren't working as free selections.

How did you get a pre-order as a freebie? I've been trying different combinations and it's not working for me. Trying to get P.S. I Love You for my freebie.

V For Vendetta: Blu-Ray $21.71
Batman Begins: Blu-Ray $21.71
Black Hawk Down: Blu-Ray $FREE
American Gangster EE $FREE
Spider-Man 3 SE $FREE

My one and probably only order. That fulfills the only account I had needing it.

I think you can get the third (free) blu-ray as a pre-order. In other words, pay for two pre-order (or not pre-order) blu-ray's, get one pre-order blu-ray free, plus two standard (non pre-order) discs free. Of course, the lowest cost blu-ray will be the free one, whether it is a pre-order or not. To get P.S. I Love You for free, it has to be blu-ray, and it has to be equal to or less than the cost of the other two blu-ray's.

By the way, be careful which code you use. 802349 gives free shipping on the blu-ray's, while 802348 does not.

Most of the pre-orders for 5/12 or 5/13 work as freebies, but I can't get PS I love you, or most titles after 5/13 to work. You can use them as one of your 2 purchases if they are more expensive than one of the other Blu-rays you've picked, though.

Okay, I think I know what the problem is. It won't let me add P.S. I Love You because it hasn't been released yet, where as the other pre-orders I have tried have already been out for a while, but have only shown up on Columbia House recently??

Went ahead and used P.S. I Love You, Jumper, and Bonnie and Clyde as my freebie, as well as two SD DVD's.

With the B2G1 Bluray deal...only one shows up as a commitment in my cart (even though the two Im paying for are $29.96). Shouldnt both of these count? Can I assume they will and place my order? If they do, this is a good deal, especially with the free SD DVDs (Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood arent out on BD).

802349 is a nice deal stacked with the Blu Ray offer.

Picked up Mr. & Mrs. Smith (Blu), The Patriot (Blu), and I am Legend (Blu) along with A Midnight Express 30th, and Alvin and the Chimpunks SD (for a gift) for just over $60.

Jester, Since you are the one who mines for sales codes, would you mind creating a new replacement thread for this topic where you keep the intial post current? It makes for a much easier time to see what the current codes are when the first post is regularly updated.

Any guesses on when the Blu-ray B2G1 might expire? I would like to wait for V for Vendetta to no longer be a pre-order.

The preorder blu-ray's should still work with the B2g1 free promo. No need to wait.
