No more FC at CH.com as of 1/2008
Just got this email for CH.com. Kind of sucks. I buy an occasional title or boxset at Ch.com due to the free ship. FC was a nice bonus.
Just to be clear, this is for CH.com, not columbiahouse.com. As far as I know, columbiahouse.com will continue to have FC.
"Dear CH.com member, Account XXXXXXXXXX
This is to notify you about a change to our FunCash program.
As of January 1, 2008 you will no longer be able to earn FunCash on
purchases you make at CH.com. You may continue to see references to
FunCash on the site while we shut down this program.
We also want to remind you that your FunCash will expire on December
31, 2007.
Stay tuned for better ways to save!
If you have questions about FunCash please contact us at www.CH.com.
And as always - we appreciate your shopping at Ch.com.
Sincerely, Membership Office at CH.com"

Although it was stated in the OP, I just wanted to be certain people realize that this is for CH.com, the club where everything is always 40% off with free shipping, and NOT for columbiahouse.com, the regular club.

Would have been nice to have had some kind of notice about this in advance. I was interested in a couple more of the Cosby sets at $9.99 and probably would have jumped at 'em a little quicker if I had known fun cash was going away.

Maybe it has always been this way, but I am finding that at least some "Special" Price items are coming up full price in the funcash cart at CH.com. That's disappointing (and different from the way it works in the regular club).
The ones I was looking at are the Black Adder BritCom series, "Special" priced at $11.97.

I just had a quick question. I know people keep saying that ch.com and columbiahouse.com are different websites. But how come when I visit ch.com it brings me right to columbiahouse.com and not a different website? Thanks for any help.

It's not really a different website, just a different club with different rules

To expand on that:
Columbia House has 3 DVD clubs: the regular club, the TV club, and the CH.com club. When you go to www.ch.com, it redirects to:
http://www.columbiahouse.com/sa/ch/homepage_ch_com.jsp
That's a different "homepage" from the real homepage at http://www.columbiahouse.com/.
