It's working now. I'm getting 60% off + triple funcash + free shipping (even on one title). Time to get together another order of cheap titles to stockpile funcash. Last time this code came around I spent $50 and earned over $60 in funcash.

Now if only they hadn't removed the link to view all the $7.95 titles.

Agreed.

Is there any sensible way to find the cheap titles?

What I really miss were free shipping on those box sets. The new free shipping offer does not apply to box/tv sets. Has a sale like that ever happened before? I think I'll try to wait it out untill I can have some sort of free shipping on box sets.

Historically, what kind of deals should we expect for the holidays (january and december).

On this topic: is there any reasonable way to spend this? I've been out of the loop with CH for a while, but I've managed to pull together over $100 in Funcash. Using their current rules of $10/max per box set + shipping, it's hardly a deal... do they ever offer special Funcash cash-in times? With relaxed rules?

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate thread, but I couldn't find a better one...

For starters, check out the thread riotinmyskull posted, it has some suggestions. I just like to stockpile funcash when these codes come around, because you never know when a glitch will cause a sale to work with funcash. This is also a great way to pick up the $4 and $5 titles and get $6 funcash for each one.

Somebody stop me!

I'm officially addicted to buying dvds. I just sent an order for 20 dvds $117.57 plus tax and got $116 in funcash. That's all I can afford right now. Hopefully there aren't any spectacular deals between now and xmas. Well, actually, a great deal to spend my $148 in funcash would be nice.

^So i guess you used the 802561 code then, What DVD's did you get to get that much funcash? Were they the ones with a regular price of $7.95?

Yep, I used 802561.

The Killing $3.18
Fargo Special Edition $3.18
Bringing Out the Dead $3.98
Miller's Crossing $3.98
Darkman $3.98
The Conversation $3.98
Beetlejuice $5.18
Sleepy Hollow $5.18
American Beauty: The Awards Edition $5.18
Black Hawk Down $5.98
Edward Scissorhands 10Th Anniversary Edition $5.98
The Gift $5.98
A Simple Plan $5.98
The Godfather $5.98
The Godfather Part II $5.98
28 Days Later Special Edition $5.98
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World $5.98
The Untouchables Special Collector's Edition $5.98
Alien 3 $5.98
Aliens Collector's Edition $19.95

If you want to maximize the code, you need to buy one dvd for $19.95 and find all the dvds that are regularly priced $7.95 and end up being $3.18 with 60% off. If you bought 1 regular priced and 19 $7.95 ones your total would end up being $80 plus $110-120 in fun cash. But, I couldn't find enough that I wanted at that price.

Don't knpw if I'm overlooking it now or not but I can no longer find the link at ColumbiaHouse where you can search by price. Did they just take that function out or move it somewhere else?

Look under the 'Gift Center' tab at the top. You then have the option to look at the titles under $10, $10-14, etc. It does look like they removed the link you're referring to, but I think this will do the trick.

As far as I know there is not a way to search by price right now. The only way I found that is even close is to pick a title in the genre and price that you are looking for. Then, on the right of that, CH will usually give you suggestions in that price. Not a good way at all, but sometimes it's helpful.

That's what I do to find some, but they definitely don't list them all there. This just seems to be some random gift suggestions.

Also, once you add an item to your cart, CH recommends what other people bought along with that. Well, bargain hunters tend to buy bargains in groups, so often when adding a $7.95 or $9.95 title, the recommendations are other similarly-priced titles.

802536 is now a "b1g1 + 60% off + Free S&H"

You don't even have to have 3 in cart - just b1g1.

You can only take an HD-DVD(or Blu-Ray) as the paid part of a BOGO. They cannot be taken as a freebie, are not available as enrollment selections and cannot have FunCash applied to them.

Awesome, thanks. Got Inside Man HD DVD and Aliens: CE for $22.xx

Can I use this code multiple times? I'd love to fulfill my account and close it out.

I've been able to get HD-DVD in my fun cash cart, though I never checked out. I did a search on the individual title, e.g., Heroes, and the HD-DVD version had a fun cash cart icon. Put it in there, showed up and even allowed me to apply my full funcash balance to the item (not the $30 limit, or whatever the amount is). Again, i didn't check out, but it seemed possible. When you go to the HD store, there are no fun cash cart icons for the discs. . .

When you do checkout, it removes the funcash from the cart and the HD title reverts to full price.

I was able to do a $88.77 order into $120 funcash. I haven't put in the order as i still have a few questions. How long does it take to receive the funcash, and dont i have to use the funcash by 12/31/07?

Just a shame you cant use funcash to earn funcash, this would be a nice neverending cycle. I found that FYE pays at least $2 a moviefor most of those that CH is selling for $3.98. So on top of the $32 profit from CH i can make at least another $40 from FYE.
