Two credit authorizations for a new membership application?
I applied for a new 6:3 online membership yesterday, and immediately got the $2.94 credit card authorization.
Today, I was mildly surprised to see a second $2.94 authorization post today, 6/19.
I haven't started a membership in 6 months or so, and don't recall this behavior previously...anyone know is this pretty common with CH days? I'm cautiously hopeful that this means this membership is likely to go through...
TIA for any help on this.

That's normal. When you first place the order, they go ahead and put a hold for the total on your account, and once they accept you as a member the real charge goes through. The first charge will drop off in a few days.

Yes, this just happened to me. I applied Friday and they put in a credit authorization on both Friday and Saturday. Got the welcome email today. Odd though... they always charge tax and the completed transaction shows only the actual cost of the enrollment...
