is their version the exact same one that was on tv recently (with sigourney weaver narrating)? and is it HD?

its only $48 bucks there and i have $14 in fun cash so im thinking about getting it for $34.

yep - thats it

note: the dvds have the UK version ... so its David Attenborogh isntead of Sigourney Weaver narrating... an upgrade in my opinion.

The Planet Earth set is the same show, but it's the BBC version. That means it's slightly longer (Discovery cut it a bit) and the narration is by David Attenborough. The set Columbia House sells is just regular DVD, like everything else on the site. It is available on both HD formats, but you'll have to go elsewhere for it. If you want exactly what you saw on TV with Sigourney Weaver then you have to go to Discovery, I don't think it's available elsewhere.

Also, I think you're limited to only $10 FC on sets. So the best you can do is knock it down to $38.

Well damn, you most certainly can, I just tried it. I really don't understand Columbia House sometimes.

They are different levels for applying funcash, like you can only use 10 on a set up to like 30 or 40 and then you can use 20 on a set up to 50 or 60 (I forget where exactly the levels are)

Wanted to echo what was slightly mentioned by one of the poster's above: This won't be in HD unless you buy the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD version of it. As we all know, CH does not carry HD formats at this time.
