Order Cancels
Has anyone had any luck cancelling orders? I've been sending emails to CH for 2 weeks to cancel a pre-order. They keep replying saying that they have submitted the cancellation request, but it may not be possible if the DVD is being prepared for shipment. Since the pre-order is not being released for another month, there is no way it is being prepared for shipment. I suspect they simply don't want to cancel orders in hopes that I won't return it...

They'll charge your card, ship it out and you'll have to send it back for a refund. I tried to cancel a pre-order a month in advance and they sent me the same email. They shipped it out and charged my card. They won't cancel an order after it has been placed in hopes that the member will just end up keeping it. This strategy works-I'm ashamed to admit that I ended up keeping the order and giving it to my brother for Christmas.

Yeah me too I sent two emails but with the same response of course nothing has been cancelled so far and some have shipped already ... so i guess i will keep them instead of the hassle of returning for refund and waiting for my CC to be credited ...
This is certainly a bad set up they have but maybe it is all planned like the DC selections ...

Same here, I tried to cancel an order (mistakenly ordered a FS version) over a month in advance of release date and recieved the same response, w/o the order being canceled.
I had to covertly give it to a friend as a gift

Here is what I normally do. I will send out an email to CH, indicating that the DVD has been returned by marking "refused return .." and that they should credit my accoount. I normally get a reply from them within 2 days indicating that the refund request has been put in even though they haven't received my return. I then wait for 2-3 days for the credit to show up. Once I see the credit, I then gladly return the DVD. I have done this for years now. I hope this helps.
