Didn't fulfill obligation, paid up - now what?
I joined Columbia House a while back because it seemed like a good deal, but since I'm not a hard-core DVD buff, I didn't fulfill my membership obligation and was sent a final bill along with some threatening language about what would happen if I didn't pay.
So I did, expecting that I'd get some sort of certificates to use to order DVDs, because that was my experience years ago with the music club. So far it's been more than 6 weeks with no word from CH. Am I screwed, especially given that it's practically impossible to reach a real human at CH? (I even tried the "I want to cancel" trick).
Thanks,
Tracey

DVD Talk Hall of Fame
You should try to call them (1-800-801-4039 and 1-888-467-7404 have been reported to work but it is often hard to figure out how to get a live CSR nowadays).
Or you could contact them by e-mail at [email protected]. With e-mail the first response is usually canned but replying to that ought to get a response from a real person. Be sure to include your account number and explain clearly what happened.
