Pre-order billing
I've noticed today on 2 of my accounts where I have pre-orders waiting, they are now showing a balance before the selections have been shipped. Both of these accounts are on "bill me" status and I usually get them with an invoice. I pay them (online) within 30 days but I recently discovered the "A $3.00 late fee will be added to invoice which is not paid within 30 days" is no longer on the packing slip/invoice.
I've not received a shipping confirmation e-mail and both of these are selections to be released next week, 10/17.
Not really a big deal but just wanted to alert some of you when/if you see it on your account. Just hadn't seen them do pre-order billing like this before.

"Over The Hedge" 10/17/06
Hmmm . . . they must have shipped this last week. I just received it today, release day. That's probably why it was showing a balance due before I even had it.
However, there was a big slash across the box which probably came from a post office box cutter. It went thru the box, invoice, return envelope, DVD cellophane wrap, and the back of the DVD case itself.
Oh well, not that big a deal. Glad to have it on release day.
EDIT: . . . and I see the "30 day" notice back on the invoice too. I was probably looking at the invoice on my other account where I have a CC on file. Those arrive pre-paid.

I received my shipping notice today also. Shipped on the 17th along with 3 (1 FREE + 2 discounted) other selections from last week's B1G1 offer.
But then I received "Over the Hedge" on the 17th -- that's fast! Well, it lists ALTERNATE SHIPPER as the shipping method while the other 3 are MEDIA MAIL. I'm still waiting on those.

The account I have was offered to me over the phone. I chose 1 DVD for $9.95 and they would send that along with coupon stamps to choose another 5 for FREE. When the CSR asked how I wanted to pay I just inquired if it was possible to just be billed. My account was placed on "bill me" status. I had the 1 DVD along with the Welcome packet in the mail within 2 weeks. I then went online and made a one-time credit card payment for the intro selection and the account has always remained on "bill me".
