I hope my app will go through. I called in on the phone today with code 98W and asked for "bill me later" option. I'll be waiting now on pins and needles. My selections:

FORBIDDEN PLANET 50TH ANNIV.
CITIZEN KANE
STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE 2-DISC
LOST HORIZON
CINEMA PARADISO
SWEENY TODD
SWEENY TODD

I was curious about a title I saw on the side of several pages as I was searching for titles: WINSOR MCCAY -- apparently an early animated movie maker. I'm curious, but not enough to buy it. I guess he made some cartoons called Little Nemo. Is this the inspiration for the Disney? They are well known for ripping off others' ideas.

I wish I knew how to fulfill. If I can't get Stargate SG-1 Season 10 for a decent price, then I wonder about the new Serenity release with oh... what is it? ... an extra eight minutes of footage? LOL. But I don't own Serenity yet, so I will consider it.

I’d like to thank everyone at this forum for all the codes et cetera. I applied 2 weeks ago, (I think I used C7L) didn’t receive any emails, but a week ago the DVDs were waiting on my doorstep! I used the B1G1 codes to fulfill my membership and received those yesterday. I just reapplied and will cancel my old membership when and if my second membership is approved. Meanwhile, here’s what I got:

The Sting 2-D SE
Double Indemnity 2-D SE
Sergeant York 2-D SE
Treasure of the Sierra Madre 2-D SE
Strangers on a Train 2-D SE
Gandhi 2-D 25th ANN
Stagecoach 2-D SE

Total with Tax: 13.97

Bogie and Bacall (To Have and Have Not, Dark Passage, Big Sleep, Key Largo)
Lawrence of Arabia 2-D LE

Tracy and Hepburn (Adam’s Rib, Pat and Mike, Woman of the Year)
Guns of Navarone 2-D CE

Total with Tax and S&H: 71.42

Total $85.39 – that’s $7.76 per title or 16 of my favorite movie classics (all are 2-Disc or in box sets) for $5.34 each and everything arrived within two weeks of applying! MSRP on these titles is 331.45 and Deep Discount’s price is $238.00! All I can say is WOW and thanks again to everyone who posts here at DVDTalk!

Just got my third account approved, after trying a few times, with a few weeks in between. Interestingly, in all the recent application submissions I went for 7 dvds, to save on the costs of the non-commitment-counting 8th disc, and it wasn't until I added it to an enrollment application that I got accepted. Oh well.

Anyways:

Fullmetal Alchemist, vol. 2-8 (already have vol 1)
Irreversible

Total for these: $22.83

And to finish my commitments:

-The Pedro Almodovar Collection
-Volver
-Fur: An Imaginary Portait of Diane Arbus
-300 Special Edition

Total on these four: $51.91

With my second app approved I went with 8 dvds for enrollment:
Casino Royale
Resident Evil 1 & 2
Reservoir Dogs
Jaws
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Stranger than Fiction
Spaceballs
$22.83
Website says its awaiting stock on my intro package...all of them out of stock

Fulfillment dvds used the b1g1 and free shipping
Pre ordered 300 and Blades of Glory
Perfume The Story of a Murderer and The Number 23 free
$59.92

Not bad. Gonna cancel my 1st acc soon as they ship some dvds I ordered week back. Thanks to everyone in the thread for the codes!

Don't have my recent enrollment titles handy, but here is how I fulfilled (using the B1G1F):

$23.97 - Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy Gift Set
$00.00 - The Red Shoes: The Criterion Collection
$26.21 - 300 (Blu-Ray)
$00.00 - The Ruling Class: The Criterion Collection

$50.18 - Subtotal
$02.99 - Shipping & Processing
$53.17 - Total

Counting the Anchorman set as two titles, my average was $5.50 each. Not bad when that includes a choice Blu-ray and 2 Criterions! Thanks to all who helped.

^ Great fulfillment strategy using the Anchorman set to get the free Criterion.

I was wondering, (if this should be its own thread please move), does anyone have any other title suggestions that could get a non-Hamlet Criterion title for free using the current B1G1 code for under $25?

With my second app I picked both resident evil movies, but I just received a letter stating that it's no longer available through the club. Heads up to anyone wanting to select those. It's no longer on their website either. I just emailed them asking if I would be able to pick out two more movies, since I only received 6. Has this happened to anyone else? CH not having the movie you selected?

So how does that go then? Do they send you those rain check coupons or whatever, or can you choose new selections online?
