Sandy, I think we applied at the same time and it had done the same thing with my bank account. However, I did receive the welcome e-mail about a week ago.

I got the welcome to the club email for the 1KJ code on 4/19, so it still works.

Saw this, and so I switched to EBP. I like using one that requires a credit card. I actually got an approval email (for the first time in over a year).

Here's what I got:
The Island
Hard Candy
Desperate Hours
Clerks 2
Fright Night
Hairspray
The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada

I was going to get a couple of those from DD for 6.89, but of course CH is even a better deal.

After months and months of "lost" applications, they have finally accepted me once again. I already have a main account, but they just didn't seem to want me to have a second one to recycle again. I don't remember the code I used, but I think it was EBP. I've already received the "Welcome to the DVD club!" email so now I'm just waiting for the package to show up. It should show up either tomorrow or the next day. Here is what I picked for enrollment:

The Frighteners Director's Cut 1 selection $0.49
A Fish Called Wanda Collector' 1 selection $0.49
The Silence of the Lambs Colle 1 selection $0.49
Bringing Up Baby Special Editi 1 selection $0.49
Yankee Doodle Dandy Special Ed 1 selection $0.49
The Producers Deluxe Edition 1 selection $0.49
Z Channel: A Magnificent Obses 1 selection $9.95

Total Items 7 selections

Shipping & Processing: FREE
Order Total: $12.89

shipping for me usually takes a week or so, and I;ve noticed they've been shipping from SC (I live in NC), so maybe they ahve a depot or something there.

The 13th was a Friday so you've had 2 weekends to contend with so hopefully they'll show up in the next couple of days.

Yeah I had some stuffed shippd on the 13th and stil hasn't arrived, so far my enrollments and my fulfillments have both been extremely slow for this account.

They are usually really quick, now they're taking 2 weeks+

Same here, actually I've recieved DVDs from another account before I even knew they shipped them, so I really don't know what is taking this one so long. I sent them an email and they responded with...

"We regret the delay you have experienced.

We are currently processing your order for the following selections.
Most orders are received within 1 week from ship date. You can always
review the status of your order by visiting your Order History at
columbiahouse.com."

The order status on the website isn't any help so I guess I'll just have to be patient.

Welcome to the forum! With all of the available BOGO codes to fulfill, you really should pass on the 8th title for $9.95(it will raise your average cost per title).

thanks!

yeah i considered that as i was ordering, but i had already filled up my cart, and i couldn't decide what to delete. :O haha.

thank you for the advice though!

i did try to at least pick higher priced stuff so the $10 disc that didn't count toward fulfillment would be a decent deal.

I joined for the first time in over a year and picked up the Samurai Champloo series 1-7. I've seen a few episodes, so I'm looking forward to getting through the series as is my brother.

Great selections, it's one of my all time favorite animes. Other good animes that I would recommend for enrollment are-

Gunslinger Girl 1-3
Hellsing 1-4
Fruits Basket 1-4
Burst Angel 1-6.

Thanks for the Samurai Champloo idea folks. I saw a fraction of an episode a couple of years ago and was fascinated by what I saw. This seems to be an excellent time to obtain the entire set. Anyway to get that red box from the OOP boxset to house these individual discs though?

This is sort of off-topic, but I love how there is a thread in the Bargains Forum for House Seasons 1-2 for $52.49, but you can now get them from CH using HDL for around $10. However, I'm not going to post this there since I'm sure I would be jumped on for daring to type the words... Columbia House.

I try to bring it up every once in a while, but usually just in passing. Nothing like "This is a way better deal at Columbia House, folks!" or anything like that. More like, "I'll pick up [insert 20th Century Fox DVD title here] from this sale, but not [insert Warner Bros DVD title here] because I can get that for 49 cents at Columbia House."

And I don't bring it up in the trade forum threads because I use CH titles to trade for Fox/Disney and OOP titles I can't get there. Trading is a good way to save all around. So really, I don't mind that not everyone is a CH member.

Used code 1KJ for 6 for $.49 each ($2.94). Figured I'd buy 3 and get DVDs not available as enrollments again.
Open Season Special Edition

Hoodwinked
Double Indemnity Legacy Series
Some Like It Hot Collector's Edition
