It's avail for Pre-Order now for $19.95 (reg 22.95), now's a good time to pre-order it and use a BOGOF code
Selection #: 4390407 - Munich WS <---single disc version. I'm not sure if they'll have the 2-Disc LE for order on Tues or not...?

thanks jpdude. i checked the other day and it wasn't up. i kind of want the LE but if CH doesn't have it then i'm not gonna spend the money when i can get the single with B1G1.
will 807752 still work next week if i decide to wait on the LE?

I wouldn't count on the 2-disc being available, this may turn out to be very limited like Jarhead or Cinderella Man. And it isn't in the latest dataminer file either, so it's not even in their system yet. Doesn't look good. Bummer, I wanted to get it myself

basaro, so would you say to just go ahead now with the single-disc? I'm thinking of using the B1G1 for Munich, Match Point, The New World and I can't decide on a fourth...any suggestions?

I am quite patient, so I am holding out just in case. 807752 is still working for whatever reason, so it may still be working in a few more days. Or another code may pop up. There always seems to be enough codes lying around.
As far as what else to get: here are a few titles I'm waiting to get myself. (I know these are a few months old, but like I said I'm patient, and in no rush) You might already have these:
A History of Violence
North Country
A Streetcar Named Desire (2-disc)
Good Night, and Good Luck
King Kong
Lord Of War

For what it's worth, an informal review of the LE in the dvdtalk forum wasn't exactly glowing. Apparently the extras on the second disc are disappointing, though the packaging is very nice. Personally, I plan on getting the single disc from CH.

I don't understand why they go through the hassle of making a two disc set to just turn around and make it very limited. You think that they would try and recoup some of the costs by making it just a bit more available to the public.

Yeah, so today is the day we all knew ch wouldn't get the LE. It's already sold out pretty much everywhere else already anyway. Look for 'em on ebay I guess.
Yeah, I also don't know what's the point of making these so limited, you can hardly even get one the day it comes out. They are sooo limited, people hoard them for resale. If they made about 4 times as much, they'd still be very limited and at least stay on the shelves for a few weeks. This is Universal we're talking about though, so they never cease to (un)amaze me.
So, I'll probably just wait until 8/7 when the 1-disc becomes available for enrollment and get that.

Much of the information was being kept in the "Not yet available for enrollment" thread. But it and many other older, longer, threads seem to have disappeared due to some sort of glitch at DVD Talk.
