New TV Edition code ?

I've applied online to the TV club 8 or 10 times using the HDL code and have not gotten a single application to go through. I got one of those junk mailings today from the TV Club and the offer seems to be similar, (but $10 more expensive than HDL. ) and it also (apparently) works by phone.

Personal Savings Code: 2M5

"Send me the 2 sets indicated below. I will be billed $19.95 for my first set-the second one is FREE!! Shipping and Processing is also FREE on this order. As A member, I agree to buy just 2 more TV or Movie titles at regular Club prices...."

^Interesting. The cost of a set with this code is a bit more than LE5, a 3 sets:3 fulfillments code. But it might be more convenient to use this 2:2 code and it should work on the phone, given what your mailing says.

Nice find.

This code does require a PSN. The preprinted one they sent me came from the old TV club - the number starts with "55"

I input the incorrect code in the TV edition web site last night (LM5 instead of 2M5) and got this :::

It's true. Choose 5 DVDs for $0.49 each, with free shipping! All you need to do is buy 4 DVDs over the next 2 years at $19.95 or more plus shipping and processing, and you may cancel at anytime after doing so. Plus, our DVDs are always available with great deals, so you can purchase items toward your commitment - - and continue to save at the same time when you order DVDs that are on sale!

There's no risk, your introductory package is sent on a 10-day trial basis and includes complete details of membership. If you are not completely satisfied, you may return the package at our expense and we'll cancel your membership and refund your money.

Pretty good, right?

It gets even better.... Take a 6th movie now for $14.95 with free shipping and have only 3 more movies to buy (instead of 4) in the next 2 years. Plus, you can take a 7th movie for the special price of $9.95 with free shipping.

I had to clear cookies and delete files in Internet explorer to get rid of this. I assume they would not honor this

Yes, if it isn't a legitimate TV Edition code, one doesn't see the TV Edition wording at the top of the page. In the case of your 2M5 code, the usual TV Edition logo is missing but one does see "TV Bestsellers DVDs" AND the offer is structured like typical TV Edition offers. So that one should work ok. But the regular DVD club codes will not be accepted with box sets as enrollments. The application will just disappear. Many have tried, none have succeeded (so far as we know).
