CH Log in problems?

I've had a hard time logging into either of my accounts for the last 2 days. If I do manage to get logged in within minutes I get this message again.

Anybody else having this trouble? Any suggestions?

I get this everytime I try to use the webdvd discount. I have cleared the cache and ran ccleaner. No luck. What's strange is if you enter a wrong password or email address it tells you so... if you enter the correct one you get the above message.

This message is a glitch having to do with cookies, I believe. To fix it just log-in again to the account then immediately log-out. This will clear the Columbia House cookie. Then you will be able to log-in again and the account will work normally.

The Columbia House website has been this way for years. It is best to always log-out from your account when you are done, rather than just close a window or let your account "time-out".

I also cleared cookies. I can login to the account but not through the webdvd discount. After calling a CSR, I was told that the $5 discount will appear "automatically" when they process the order... even after explaining to him that I was not able to even logon using the discount and placed the order without it! Oh well, I'll try again with another CSR.

Clearing the cookies should help the OP if the only problem is logging on to the account, though.

I wouldn't believe that CSR. Try calling in again and ask for a "web specialist" because you are "having trouble placing an order on-line". The web specialist should be able to pull up your internet account, verify the problem with the webdvd discount, and place your order for you.

I don't understand why you are having trouble with the webdvd website; it works fine on my accounts. Did you try another browser?

Yeah... I called in and got an American CSR who immediately found the order, said it hadn't processed yet and applied the discount to it. So much depends on the CSR you happen to get.

I have tried both the AOL browser and Internet Explorer - cleared temp files, cookies and the aol browser cache... plus ran ccleaner. Don't know what else I can do??
