Problem with B1G1 code and shipping dates...
CH is claiming that they will not ship me my currently available DVD's until the pre-orders also ship. I had used the B1G1 code to fulfill my account. They are claiming that the two 'free' DVD's will not be shipped until the two pre-orders, 2/7, are scheduled to ship.
I'm not for sure, but I don't think that has ever happened to me before.
Also, is it just me or is CH getting their pre-order DVD's out later and later. Sometimes, I don't get my pre-orders until over a week after their release date. Seems awhile back, I could count on them getting the pre-orders to me very close to the release date.
This information came from an email response to my asking them to correct my, $5 off first online order, account.
As well, this account was from the 'found October applications' fiasco. Three of the DVD's from that app. had already been purchased. I sent them back 4th class mail and was asking for reimbursement for the cost. I had emailed CH right away when I saw that old app. had been approved but they claimed they couldn't alter the app. order (even though I had once before had an app. order altered before shipping).
They sent a long response detailing how, according to their rules, I would be responsible for any and all DVD's that I had ordered that were returned. But, at the end, they said that this one time only, they would indeed credit my account. They didn't ask for any proof of the shipping cost either, just accepted what I told them.
Oh well, the price we pay for cheap DVD's. Luck all...

I spoke to a CR about this and they said they changed their policy because people were receiving their free selections and then canceling the rest of the order (I don't exactly know how) before being charged for the pre-order. Rat bastard thieves have to ruin it for us honest people who are going to pay for the titles we select. I have to wait until mid march to receive my Irreversible and Constantine Deluxe because History of Violence and Tales from the Crypt Season 3 don't come out until then.

Ah! This might explain why the two in-stock free ones are still "awaiting credit approval" after a week. I emailed the CSR and they were like - when your CC approves it, we'll send them. Riiight

I took advantage of the B1G1 Free deal this past Saturday (had to call it in).
According to my account history all 4 free DVD's plus one other have shipped. The other 3 I have are all preorders.
Hopefully they'll show by the weekend.

I can see why Columbia House made that decision then. I've been on the phone with them constantly lately because they kept messing up my Sam Peckinpah Box Set pricing and finally got it shipped out (well hopefully) a few days ago and were given the right amount. They said my two free titles shipped out but who knows at this point they could've held them back. I've just about hit the wall with them though, only about one account to go and that will be enough for me for awhile. Just because I'm tired of having to call them constantly when I order something or worry about being really overcharged like I was recently.

Yeah my Lord of War has been awaiting stock for 2 weeks and the free ones say awaiting credit approval. I figure I'll get them by summer of at least autumn.

Normally, all of my free selections ship before the pre-orders, but they are being held on one of my accounts because of the pre-orders.
