Add me to the list of those who just received a suddenly resurrected app from October which had been presumed "lost" and subsequently received the same enrollments from a later successful app. I look forward to seeing how this mess turns out. Keep me posted fellas.

Just got the following reply regarding the e-mail I sent them about my Oct. application:

previous e-mail message. Please be assured, no
discourtesy was intended.

We appreciate you notifying us you wish to

I replied that I already got 6 of the 7 titles through other enrollments and gave him a list of titles I wanted to replace them with (which I realize now also came from a lost December app). This should be interesting.

Wow.. just got my email also, from an Oct. or so app.

Funny thing is, I emailed CH back then, asking them how long do I wait. They said, I needed to give them more info (address, etc.), then they emailed me back stating they had no record of this App.

Glad I decided to not do another app!!! A little late for Christmas presents though.

I'll see if they actually show up in the mail.

I got one of these too -- no doubt from a lost app. I use unique email addresses for each application. I asked them to toss it and got the standard "we can't stop the application process" crap. I will refuse the package if they actually send it (as with most of you, the dvds will be duplicates).

CH sure does screw up a lot. Who had the bright idea of processing these lost apps? Perhaps they should have noticed they were going lost like 2 years ago before we all began expecting 1/2 of our applications to vanish into thin air.

Oh well, can't beat the prices.

Maybe this means there's a possibility that they fixed the web application system so most apps will go through now.

I decided to join CH again about 6 months ago (I hadnt had a membership in over a year) and after 2 weeks got the "not taking any new applications" email..

Well last thursday I decided to give it a try again and I just got an email today saying I got in!! So it only took me 3 business days!!

Now dummy me , didnt know about the codes or this site until after I applied last week..so I have the regular none code application but oh well!

Well I got a "new" account approval email as well, this for an online app on October 2nd. Most of the movies have been got by other means, so I have to decide 1) cancel the whole account, or 2) go through some sort of return/credit rigmarole.

Actually, #2 wouldn't be too bad, as I was planning to rejoin soon anyway. . . .

I wonder how far they are going to go back. IIRC, the only time I had a application go missing was last February. I did end up ordering most of the ones in that order again.

I just called and spoke with a CR and asked her what to do about this. She told me to send the titles back with a request for replacement titles. This is the first time I've had to do this and it sucks. I mentioned to her to not be surprised if they start getting several calls about this issue.

These idiots are ridiculous. They are sending me a enrollment package from a application I made on October. It was shipped out on the 7th of this month. According to them, I have to put "Return to Sender" on the box when I receive the movies.....

Now I have 3 accounts with a recent approval, I have one box ready to return to sender, and am waiting for the second one. Can I just throw the box in a mailbox or do I have to go to the post office to send these back?

I'm pretty sure you can just put it in the mailbox if you write "refused - return to sender" on it.

So you can put "Refused - Return to Sender" on these unwanted accounts/enrollment packages and they will cancel the accounts?

You won't have to pay return shipping if you write Refused-Return to Sender. I would follow it up with a phone call or email to make sure that the account is truly cancelled. Remember, CH always gives you 10 days to cancel an account with no further obligation.

On the other hand - this now means that they've allowed me to open three accounts at one address. I think I'd rather open the package (the last time I tried "Refused-Return to Sender" it was sent right back to me with the Post Office claim that I had opened it - which I clearly hadn't). If I open the package, I can pull out the two titles that I haven't bought since the time of the order and then send a replacement request back with the duplicate DVDs. In the meantime, I'll close one of my two open accounts to get back to the 2 per address maximum. I really don't want to mess up things with CH.

Can you still do that on a box that was opened?

Edit: They're just going to send out a return label. This is ridiculous even by CH's standards.

Recieved a DVD Starter Kit in the mail yesterday.
Called the 800 # and gave them the same list I've ordered twice before with a credit card this time.
I'll let you know what happens.

I received my email a few weeks ago and today got my package. Of the last few apps I've sent in, I've tried to mix it up. Luckily, they sent me my sci-fi picks. Only 2 out of 7 I already now have. I just hope this doesn't mean the floodgates have been opened and they keep resurrecting old apps. This one was sent in Oct/Nov of last year.

I got the e-mail last week. My application was from a few months ago. The package arrived today, but when I opened it I found it was actually from a different application that I didn't receive any e-mail about. Looks like two old ones have gone through. Hopefully no more magically appear since I now have three accounts going at once.

I got a good story for you guys. These idiots did not just send me one......but two duplicates enrollments of DVDs I already received. Isn't it ****ing common sense for these idiots to know that most likely I dont want the same DVD twice or rather yet 3 times? But wait......thereeeee'sssss mooooooooree...

There is a good chance another account can be opened up with an application i made last week. That could be 4 accounts opened up at once......

I'm never doing credit card enrollments again. If this happens, I'm going to go into debt on my debit card....and if after a week I'm in debt.....they tend to double the amount I owe.

If mine is the enrollment I think it is, only 1 of the 7 won't be a dup. I've already started ordering fulfillments - should I

1) just open & remove the one & send the remainder back with an exchange request?
-or-
2) do a "return to sender" & try for an exchange - or would CH consider this a cancellation of the account?

Thoughts??

Let's see. I think I'm going to contact CH, ask for the return label for the titles I don't want - exchange them and hope for the best. In the last month or two there have suddenly been a lot of titles I want - so having an extra couple of accounts open (beyond which CH normally allows) won't be a bad thing. I can stand the aggravation for the price I'm paying with CH!

It looks like CH is catching some errors in their way due to the "technical glitch" that allowed a number of applications to be approved. I had one legit account and four more that popped up due to this. But it seems they have cancelled two of the four new accounts.
