I've tried a few different combinations, but I'm only getting one free title to come up. I'll keep punching the numbers though!

Oh I know I have done that before. Basically all the movies I want are comming out at the end of the month so I will have to wait and see if the offer is still good then.

Spez 07-10-06 03:52 PM

I think I figured out my problem. I was trying to order the following:

-Justice League: Season One
-The Third Man: Criterion Collection (Free)
-Venture Bros: Season One
-Hostel (Free)

I put them in the cart in that order and it only came up with The Third Man for Free. I took out Venture Bros and put in Dave Chappelle's Block Party, and then the second title came up for free. I guess you can't use two sets as your "Buy 1" part of the deal. I know I've done it in the past and I've been planning this purchase for sometime. Any suggestions? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy the regular titles?

Anyone else having trouble finding the link that lets you enter codes? I can't find it anywhere today.

It was moved to the "Details" page.

bis22 07-11-06 09:34 PM

Ah, found it. Thanks!

When you first sign on, your current offer is listed at the very top of the screen. Click on the details link at the top of the page. When the next screen appears, scroll half-way down and you should see a box that says "Enter your online code". Put the code into this box and click enter. The next screen should take you back to the DVD Club homepage with the new offer already loaded.:)

EDIT: I see that you've found the magical box. I'll leave this post up for anyone else that's having trouble with locating the box.

legend42 07-14-06 12:17 PM

It looks like they started a boxset sale. It's one of their trademark "up to 50% off" dupes, so some deals are better than others. The Ultimate Matrix Collection is one that jumped out. The lowest online price is $39.33 at DDD. CH has it for $26.48. Even with shipping, that's a good deal. Toss in a B1G1 with it, and it becomes a pretty sweet fulfillment choice, especially if you can endure the last two films of the trilogy :)

Sweet Baby James 07-21-06 08:40 PM

It now appears that 807747, 807748, 807749, 807750 and 807751 are all now DEAD.:(

CmC918 07-22-06 10:19 AM

804465 808966 other codes that work for me.

lizard 07-22-06 12:09 PM

Also 804466. Allows one free plus, supposedly, free shipping for three. Says it is a 48 hour offer.

Edit: 808966 is the same as 804466.

Update: the free shipping for three applies to regular DVDs only and not to "Special Price" DVDs, regardless of price or shipping cost. When used with regular DVDs only it works fine.

Edit2: I am beginning to agree with those who think that free shipping for box sets and other "Special Price" DVDs is now gone for good under the new managment.

drh4 07-26-06 10:59 AM

All the codes lizard and SBJ mentions are dead for me. I just got the approval email an hour ago. Anything else worth grabbing? I'm looking to get the new Nikita box set.

lizard 07-26-06 01:20 PM

804468, 808968 Extra $5 in funcash for orders over $35. Big whoop.

Sorry, no new B1G1F codes yet.

sabre 07-29-06 01:48 PM

does darth maul still have his site, list all the offer codes in a little more organized way

lizard 08-02-06 01:12 PM

SterlingBen 08-02-06 05:37 PM

Just got this deal in my email. Yippee.

I wonder if we'll ever get another b1g1 code now that I actually have an account to fulfill.

deeveedeebaby 08-03-06 01:42 PM

B1g1

808966 is working again. I just used it to buy one get one and free shipping on three or more.

Can this offer (or any offer for that matter) be used more than once, if I split up the orders? NEW to CH, thanks.

deeveedeebaby 08-03-06 01:57 PM

Yes

Any offer can be used as many times as you want..................until they disable the codes that is.

John*D 08-03-06 02:01 PM

Just made my first purchase and it said I would receive $2 funcash.

Currently that $2 isn't in my funcash balance. When does funcash get added to the balance? After the order is shipped? Thanks.

It usually takes 2-3 days for funcash to show up in your account.

SterlingBen 08-03-06 05:33 PM

Whenever I try to use 808966
I keep getting this
Oops, there's a problem with the information highlighted below.
and nothing is highlighted

bis22 08-03-06 06:35 PM

Any idea what the chances are that free shipping will be available for box sets anytime in the future? It's really frustrating that they make you pay $8 to ship one set.

Did you try this code: 808966
Not getting free shipping on boxsets with that code?
I'd check, but I am waiting for my enrollment package and don't have an unfulfilled account right now.

kenbenobi 08-03-06 07:55 PM

Well, it's nice to see they have a free shipping code again. I paid shipping on my last fulfillments, and didnt even get them all yet (pre-orders). But I got the freebies, so I can't really cancel it and re-order...

bis22 08-03-06 09:26 PM

Yeah, when I use 808966 I'm charged $7.99 shipping for Animaniacs vol. 1, but the other dvd's are shipped for free.

thejester 08-04-06 09:25 AM

Nowhere near as good as the 808966 code, but I just got a Buy 4 Get 1 - 804610 - S&H does apply.

deeveedeebaby 08-04-06 10:08 AM

Even Better

If you use the 8966 code with the buy four get one free, you get two free and free shipping. I just did that and got three new releases and two preorders for $39.89........$7.98 a dvd and I fulfilled my membership.

Also as I was checking out, I clicked that I wanted this to be a gift and my taxes went from $2.40 to $0.00.

John*D 08-04-06 01:32 PM

IS there any way to cancel a web order that is still in processing? I don't see anywhere to do it

chalkster30 08-04-06 01:41 PM

I had to jump on the 808966 -- not that I really need to, but I couldn't pass up the best deal I've seen in a while.

Double Indemnity Legacy Series $19.95 (Pre-order Price)
Hamlet : The Criterion Collection Free
The Party $3.98
Coming Home $3.98
Last Tango in Paris Free

Subtotal $27.91
Shipping & Processing $0.00
Tax $2.03

Total $29.94

icecube 08-04-06 02:13 PM

When I use the 808966 and pay full price for 2 with 2 free and 1 50% off (5 DVDs in my cart) I am still getting charged $5.99 for shipping. ???

I am in the TV Club btw...

Did you change the shipping address to a different state where CH doesn't collect tax?

Are you trying to get a boxset or special priced item as one of your selections? Free shipping on boxsets is not working with this code. (It seems to be a new strategy of CH, none of the recent free shipping codes have worked with a boxset.) :(

icecube 08-04-06 03:49 PM

No box sets, unless Spike Lee Joint Collection is counted as one...?

That's considered a box set. If it says "Special Club Price", then CH counts it as a box set.

icecube 08-04-06 05:36 PM

That's it, then. Thanks!

So if I want Spike Lee do I have to bite the bullet and pay shipping, or do you think I can wait it out for a different code with free shipping?

I think that you'll have to bite the bullet. BMG has taken firm grasp of CH and I don't ever see them offering free shipping on box sets again. The BMG Music Club has free shipping offers all the time, but they have always excluded box sets form the deal. The only way that you're going to get free shipping on box sets is to join one of their special clubs. For DVDs, it's www.ch.com and for CDs it's www.yourmusic.com . For DVDs, you will get a 40% or more discount off of list price. For CDs, they charge you $5.99 for single discs and $11.99 for double discs. The only problem with these two clubs is that it's mandatory to buy items every month or two.

lizard 08-05-06 12:55 PM

804410 is also buy 4 get 1 free; got it in another e-mail. FWIW (which isn't much).

The offer details aren't correct but it works in the shopping cart.

To the best of my knowledge, this isn't true for the DVD CH.com accounts. I have had one for quite some time and have never purchased more than the required committment back when I first opened the account.

Even with free shipping, 40% off isn't as good a deal as buying sets with a regular account, when one considers the almost free enrollment discs one gets. The relative cost of an MSRP $59.95 set usually works out to about $25 through the regular DVD club and that's way cheaper than CH.com (or anywhere else, usually).

I realize that you know this, but others here need to realize that while free shipping is nice, it isn't necessary to get some terrific deals. Don't get put off by the shipping charge for sets. When one considers the value of fulfillment credit, sets are often a very good deal anyway.

It may be time to dust off my "relative cost" calculations!
