It's just "freshman hazing," not to mention a lot of people in the DVD Club forum are on edge due to the recent policy changes and disapparing FC we have suffered. Once you have established yourself a little within the forums you should be okay, but you have to have thick skin because some of the posters will kill you otherwise.

PS -- Also remember what some people think is funny or intend as a joke sometimes is taken the wrong way. There are a lot of pranksters up here and they usually mean no harm.

me&you, I would just chill out. I am new too and you have to realize that some of these elders in here are really professional about the world of CH and whenever a deal is to be found you can be sure it will be posted ASAP. just keep your eyes open and be patient. Our deals will come.

Not all senior members have an attitude. Regardless of what CH does, some of us will continue to be here to share (and learn) with others. Even without super-secret codes, CH is still a great value. I think some folks just got a bit greedy and now CH is the villain. This happens from time to time, but it will pass....

Right now we are going over some changes in CH policy and deals that were so good are dead now and many people can't seem to join CH again and there are some others that accounts have been frozen.

As you can see you join dvdtalk when many of us are paranoid and we feel like we have before that CH is lurking around here.

I'm sure you'll understand in time as you grow along the dvdtlak.

If Columbia House is "lurking around here" I really think that they should have more important things to do!
So if there is any Columbia House employess here.......get back to work! And find my "lost" applications!!! Unable to join the TV Edition Club.......I got upset, so I closed my account that I have had since March of 2004! And have purchased well over the "commitment" level. Just thought that it was easy to shop off the net for videos. But I can see now that you can't even get a new membership opened on a simple TV Club!!! Plus I would have never thought to fulfill my membership, then close, then re-open one. DUH! Guess I do not know how to "work" the system.
Anyway, thanks again for you "welcome". I have learned alot about dvd/movies by reading people's posts, and also learned that there ALOT of people that are just plain unhappy (you can tell by there nasty/mean posts).

I changed it because I wanted to post using my real name. That, and 'evitagen' is the word negative backwards, which I don't think characterizes me very well.

My brother-in-law named a dog "Seltun" (you can figure that of out--add another s net to the other s.) He was a wonderful dog.....he's gone now. But I always thought his name was funny...and fitting I guess. ha ha ha
