Blacklistable offense? (Multiple copies)
If you pick up 2 copies of each of the available James Bond DVDs - and also get a Box Set vol 1 from DV2 which contains them - would this be considered more than 2 copies of those DVDs?
Also - do they look across ALL the different clubs - DVD, DV2, TV edition - when counting the number of copies you acquire? Or just all your account for the same type.

I don't see why the sarcasm, since your answer on point 2 wasn't terribly decisive.
I understand quite well the logic that just because someone did this and didn't get blacklisted, doesn't mean it couldn't happen - but if someone DID get blacklisted, then it would definitely be a bad idea.

I also wouldn't risk it. Also, be very careful of ordering 2 copies of a lot of titles. CH specifically says that they can blacklist you if the suspect that you're selling their titles.
It's pretty well-known on this board that you do pretty well reselling DVDs so I wouldn't risk stuff like that.

I did, however pick up 2 copies of each available OOP James Bond title during the recent sale - one for me and one to trade or use as presents, they aren't selling high enough to make much profit on. I was considering picking up the Bond Box sets at DV2 with my funcash, which is the main reason I asked this question.

(I currently have a few sealed CH copies for sale on my trade list, because I found used copies of them at pawn shops or Gamestops).

To clear up my post, I didn't mean to accuse you of selling CH DVDs. It was more of a general statement. I know that there are a lot of members who sell the DVDs that they buy at CH, but I'm just warning them that it could lead to a blacklisting.

. But I am a collector and movie addict first, and my Amazon selling is strictly a by-product of my addiction (other than the TV sets I have been buying during B2G1 sales at Gamestop specifically to sell - got X-files S8+9 and CSI S2 for $72+tax tonight, just couldn't pass them up). Even when I buy the TV sets to sell, I try to watch them first if I have time.

You can pick up more than two of a title during the Chrismas season because Columbia House knows people buy them as gifts then. But, in general, it is best to stick to no more than two, as others have said. Chances are that CH won't notice it but why take the chance?
There have been cases in the past with people ordering the same titles over and over for quite some time before the got they "business decision" letter.
For me, the important thing is to stay in good standing with Columbia House so I can continue to get new release single DVDs for $6 and sets for bargain prices well below those elsewhere. While I have had some trouble opening new accounts, as have many here, I have yet to be blacklisted after 50+ accounts. I'd like to keep it that way.

Why should Columbia House care what you are doing with your dvds as long as you are meeting their club requirements? If I buy something then I have every right to turn around and resell the item to someone else who wants it and is willing to pay the price. I feel that it would be a pain to try and make any gain in this manner, but for those who want to try I don't see why it should matter to CH.
