FreeDVDs.com?

I put in an order back in November, the status has been Sent to Vendor, Waiting on Product since early December....I know why it's like this as the item I ordered is out of print but I didn't know that when I ordered, is there anyway to get ahold of someone to cancel the order? I've tried to customer inquiries but just get the same automated response everytime.

Uh oh ... my order with freedvds.com is backordered. What is normal ship time for freedvds.com? Do they do bait and switch by getting you to sign up for offers but not sending your order?

I recently received the Three Colors Trilogy less than a week after placing the order, so I wouldn't worry about bait-and-switch.

Is there any way to contact customer service that acually gets you a human response? I've used the Customer Service Inquiries several times and only get the same automated response everytime.

Maybe tracking down the phone# for Gratis Network is the only way to talk to them; it's almost impossible to get anything done using the website.

In the past I was able to cancel OOS order by writing to them until they finally cancelled. I do not know if BestPrices are still their suppliers, but I always checked if the particular title is available at BestPrices and only then ordered it from freedvds. Even a couple of month ago, an order turned from 'processing' to 'sent to vendor' in a day and I got the DVD in 4-5 days.

On the other hand, I placed an order recently, and it is still 'processing' so probably they haven't touched it yet.

Things change. FreeDVD4Me are also very slow these days.

FreeDVD4Me are EXTREMELY slow these days! They are slow at shipping and slow at replying to emails as well. Waiting on Bambi from them and waiting for 2 DVDs from Freedvds (although I knew the 2 titles from Freedvds were OOP, I decided to order them anyway in case Freedvds had some supplier that had them).

Sheesh. Just received a reply to my 'what's the heck happened to my order' email I sent to freedvd4me last week. When I ordered the weekly special (Bambi), I checked the widescreen button out of habit. So for the past few weeks, they've been trying to locate a widescreen copy. I don't know who made the dumber mistake...them or me.

Seems like Bestprices is not FreeDVDs supplier anymore. Ordered a title that Bestprices has full stock of (500+ copies) still my order is backordered. Strange indeed.

Just want to relay another positive experience with FreeDVDs.com for those getting discouraged. I ordered the Anchorman gift set on the 21st, it shipped on the 22nd and it arrived the 25th!

You know any other way of contacting freedvds.com other than their stupid e-mail service? I emailed them on 4/18, and I still haven't got a response. This is ridiculous. I'm going to post a follow-up email, but I need a phone number or something to contact a human person. I'll bet this e-mail just got skipped or something. Grrrrr x-(

I only know the guy who started and runs the company. (that's how I know it's legit) next time I talk to him, I'll ask him about contact info. and the email problems.

yeah, apparently the BBB isn't too happy with their CS either. I don't have any suggestions. If you check on register.com and see who owns the sites, it, at least, gives a phone number that used to work (although it's never been a cs line)

I was able to get a response last week from them on 2 different orders that were 'sent to vendor-waiting on shipment'. I knew when I ordered that these were OOP, but since their website didn't say that they were OOP, then I thought that maybe they had them. Not. I went into their help section and clicked on 'my issue is about an order I placed'. Then I clicked on 'I want to know something about the product that I have ordered.'. Then I clicked on the 2 separate orders that were OOP and typed in my message at the bottom. After checking their website every few days and clicking on 'account', then 'customer service inquiries' (which is how they respond), I noticed that they responded and cancelled both orders and refunded my points. As far as I can see, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM AT ALL! Nice of them to shut down almost all lines of communication. Very convenient.

They did? Hmm..maybe they're finally doing better because I used that option like 5 times in the past and all I get is the same automated response and the order is still there. I'll put another one through and hope I get lucky, I would've given up by now but the dang thing I ordered was 3050 points

The first time you submit your customer request, you'll get the following message:

"br>>Due to the high volume of customer inquiries, we cannot provide each person with a time frame of when they will each receive their order.

We ask that you be patient during the order fulfillment process as it is not an "instantaneous" process. Orders are grouped together in the time period that they are initially placed by the customer and then sent to the product's vendor for the orders to be fulfilled.

Once your order is placed with the product vendor it is processed and then shipped to you.
Again, we cannot provide individual order updates; your account will update itself as soon as any change to your order status occurs."

What you have to do then is to type another message (or just repeat yourself) in the box at the bottom of that screen and submit it again. You should receive the following response:

"We have received your inquiry and will respond via a reply post in your account as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience."

You should get a response from a real person within a few days after that message (one response was the same day for me, the other took 3 days). Don't know if that's what you did, but it worked for me. Good luck.

Don't be too hard on yourself. It's not like they were trying to make it easy (or even possible) to contact anyone in their customer service department... It has become one of the worst customer service setups that I've seen in an online business.

Answering that could be grounds for suspension.
