Wow...I just received my media mail box containing my "creative" Dick Van Dyke Show seasons 4 and 5, and I have yet to receive my "regular" HDL order of Van Dyke season 2 and Lucy season 2...even though I placed it (and got approved) several days before I got "creative."

I went ahead and tried it. Figured it was worth trying to get 2 seasons of Voyager and something else for ~$50.

Star Trek: Voyager: Season Three 1 selection 9.95
Star Trek: Voyager: Season Two 1 selection FREE!

Question:

Are they still doing that $5 off your first web order [or something like that]...?

If so, what's the link?

Yes I am aware of this, however it is hard for me to find any DVDs that I can't find (eventually) used from BBV for ~$8, so I'd rather get sets. I was buying the WB 2-disc SEs through CH, but now they they are using dual disk cases instead of the cardboard cases they used prior, I'm rather turned off to it. Also, unless you preorder most of the new releases are $21.95 or $22.95 and I'm trying to close and reopen as quickly as possible, for obvious reasons.

How do you get this offer to work? I don't see the offer anywhere. All I have is buy one get $10 off unlimited and %30 DVD sets. Fun cash isn't transferrable is it?

Click on the Specialty Shops link located at the bottom of the Explore Features section on the left hand side of the screen. The 3 for $25 link will appear on the next screen. Transferring FC has always been a YMMV depending on the phone operator. Good luck.

Is it good to wait before signing up a second account with CH or does it matter? Also does it matter if you use all the same info or not (CC, address, email)? Sorry about the newbie questions but I have never been a fan of CH.

I believe you can have two open at a time per type of club. I have used the same exact info so it doesn't really matter.

Now here is my question. Should you always wait until you get your entire order before you cancel? I want to go ahead and order my fulfillments and cancel to start the cycle over again. How long do I need to wait?

As long as we have a few questions, I'll add mine. I have 2 accounts, just cancelled one. How long should I wait until I try for a new 2nd account? TIA.

If cancelled online - now. Otherwise, 1 day (2 max) - Theoretically(?) now also.

I always wait until I get my enrollment and fufillment orders before canceling. I don't them complaining that since the account is closed I can't do anything about not getting a dvd or whatever.

It Depends.....Obviously the risk you run is that something gets messed up with your fulfillment order after you have already closed the account. That has happened to me a couple of times and in those cases I have still been able to deal with the problem via phone calls to a CSR. But one time they never did give me a refund I was owed until almost 2 months later due to them messing it up again....and I wasn't able to follow the progress on line since I did not have access to my online account during that period.

One other problem that I had was that on an account I had closed that way, they had re-opened it to deal with the problem and had failed to close it once the problem had been dealt with. I found that out when I was shipped a director's selection that I had not ordered.

So the simple answer is that it is better to wait till you receive everything...but sometimes it is worth the risk if there is a special deal that is about to end (eg. free shipping) that you want to take advantage of....or perhaps as now when no one knows how long you will be able to order the "non-listed" enrollments for the TV Club.

(The one thing you may want to do is wait at least one day after placing your fulfillment order so that you can confirm that the website properly shows your order and that the only likely problem is an incorrect or damaged shipment down the line.)

A quick one (I'll post the actual details when I get home from work), but I got approved for two "creative" orders.

One was for Star Trek: TOS Season Two and Gilmore Girls: Season One. That has since shipped.

The other was for Star Trek: DS9 Seasons 1 and 7. That one just got approved today.

I can't open a second account, creatively or non-creatively. Each time I try, my information gets wiped and I'm asked to re-enter everything. I cleaned out my cookies each time, but still nothing will work.

I had that problem with using the Firefox browser this week. I cleaned cookies, everything. Switched to IE to enroll and it worked fine.

I got approved on my Voyager order. I started looking through the site and was wondering how long it takes them to add new titles?

I was looking for things like Monk Season 2 or Quantum Leap seaon 2. Will I never see them since I see that they show as Universal releases?

(As a side note, is there any way for Columbia House to track an enrollment shipment? I had one sent out last week on the 18th, and received it that Friday, the 21st. I also had one ship out the 19th, and I have yet to receive it.)

Time to look for some good fulfillments...
