3-for-25 = 1 commitment; Is it working now?

There have been various reports of folks having problems fulfilling accounts with the 3-for-25 deal in the past couple of days. Please post if you have or have not had success with this since Tuesday (October 19).

I fulfilled on Monday using this offer. Does that count?

I'm not sure. I also used this successfully last weekend, but we started seeing reports of problems in the last several days. As a follow-on question; for those reporting success or failure, I would also like to know if any 19.95 titles were included. My three successes have all been with 14.95 titles.

I tried both, all $14.95 and a mix of $14.95 and $19.95 titles and I still have had no success in getting them to count towards my commitment agreement.

I have the same issue with the commitments only counting as .33 or .34 and so I called over to the customer service and they advised that it shouldn't be like that.

They said if I bought them it will fulfill my account so I will try and let everyone know how that turns out.

I am having problems with their entire web page right now. The 3/$25 is still not showing up as one committment, but hopefully, they are fixing the issue.

Just so you guys know, I placed my order on Tuesday (10/19). Up until today, my account did not reflect that I had fulfilled the purchase agreement. My order was also listed as pending during this time.

I just checked my account a few minutes ago and it now shows that I have fulfilled my purchase agreement. Also, my order status is now "shipped" instead of "pending".

For those of you interested, I believe I only chose $14.95 titles, but I may be wrong. Here's what I ended up ordering.

Legends of the Fall
The Mummy Returns
Patriot Games
The Hunt For Red October
Tommy Boy
The Devil's Advocate

So, long story short, it looks like we won't have problems using the 3 for $25 to fulfill.

Dorsalphin - two questions:

a) did you order via phone or on-line?

b) if on-line, did the shopping cart show either .33 or .34 next to ALL SIX of the selections?

Thanks.

Contact $8.34 Sale Price 2177400
Red Sonja $8.33 Sale Price 3204708
Drunken Master $8.34 Sale Price 2905909
House Of Sand And Fog $8.33 Sale Price 3102308
21 Grams $8.33 Sale Price 3103702
Unfaithful $8.33 Sale Price 2778306

Well I just placed an order online using the 3 for $25 deal and the $5 off first web order. Also got free shipping.

Only two of them showed as counting towards fulfillment when I placed it (one at .33 and the other at .34). Hopefully they sort it out on their own and I won't have to call and bug them to fix it.

I also took the plunge tonight and ordered:
Final Destination
Final Destination 2
Freddy Versus Jason
Ghost World
Manchurian Candidate
Species
I'll let you know if it works out and counts towards fulfillment.

Worked for me as well. I got -

Shrek 2 ($19.95)
Princess Bride SE ($6.95 w/Shrek 2)

...and 3 sets of 3-for-$25

Dr. Seuss' The Cat In The Hat
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (WS)
300 Spartans
Beethoven's 5Th (WS)
Court Jester, The
D.A.R.Y.L.
Dying Young
Man Without A Face
Red Sonja

Just too many $14.95 titles on my list now with all the recent price reductions. I don't think I can cycle thru that many accounts.

I've been trying to place an online order the past three days and continue to have problems. Out of the six discs that I'm placing in my shopping cart, only the first two are showing up as counting for 0.34 & 0.33 of my commitment. I'm certainly not going to place an online order until they straighten out their website. If anyone needs to place an order now, I'd suggest giving the 800 number a call and going that route.

I'm in the same boat. My latest account just opened on Wednesday, and I've got six 14.95 titles in my cart with only the first two showing the check marks and .33/.34 commitment credit. Hopefully, we'll hear back from some of the others in this thread who proceeded on the hopes that this would work.

Short of that, I'm planning to call and speak with a web specialist on Monday. I don't want to lose the $5 webdvd discount by going the normal phone order route.

Same here! I just know that if I place order then I am the one who will not get fulfillment credit! Everyone else is safe to order, that's just my luck.

With all these 14.95 and some 19.95 titles available, I want to order, cancel membership and do a quick 2-3 day sign up again. The math is crazy. Six high dollar releases (SE and CE titles 15 to 20 online, 20 and up at B&M) with 6 decent releases (movies around 8 to 10 bucks online) all for around 5.20 each. Sign me up!

My order doesn't even have an order number yet. It says 'To Be Assigned'. Is this what everyone else who placed an order is showing? The status says 'Pending' on each disc and all of the prices are starred out (****).

When did you place it? I placed a regular 3 disc order on last Friday, and I have the same indication in my account history. My advice to you is to do what I am going to do and wait for a couple of days and see what it looks like then before even considering taking any sort of action. CH is notoriously slow to update over weekends.

I placed an order on 10/23 for six 3/$25 DVDs. I now have an order number and everything is listed as pending. The web page indicated that the first two counted for 0.34 & 0.33 of my commitment.

However, I just called CH and they stated this should have counted as two fulfillments. The customer service rep indicated she would change it so my account would reflect this and be fulfilled.

The order was placed on 10/22/04 in the evening. I just checked and it has an order number now, the discs say pending and the prices are showing.

The Account Overview page says that I have purchased 0 dvds, I expect this should update once they have been shipped.

Let's try to avoid possible confusion. The thread is asking:

a) did you recently attempt to fulfill an account by purchasing 3 DVD's (or multiples of 3) using the current "3 for 25" offer?

b) did your shopping cart show .33 or .34 next to EACH selection, or just some of them?

c) after shipping, did your account history reflect earning of one fulfillment credit for each group of 3 for 25 DVD's?

Please try to answer as follows:

**example**
a: yes, I purchased 6 DVD's for $50

b: my cart only showed .33 or .34 next to two of the six selections

c: after shipment, my account history indicated that I had gone from zero to two fulfilliments, thus fulfilling the account

Hopefully, answers will parallel the above example, thus letting the rest of us know that it is safe to proceed. Thanks.

Sorry for not answering sooner, I've been having major computer problems. Anyway, as for your questions, (a) I ordered online; and (b) no my cart did not show a .33 or .34 next to each of my selections. In fact, only one of my six titles was listed as .33 and only one other was listed as .34. I decided to place the order anyway, as I was confident I could fix that problem over the phone if it came to that.

a: Yes, see my initial post on 10/22.

b: no, see my post above.

c: yes, once my account displayed my disks as "shipped" my fulfillment requirement was accurately displayed. On a side note, I received my disks tonight and I was billed as follows:

Hunt for Red October $8.34
Mummy 2 $8.34
Legends of the Fall $8.33
Patriot Games $8.33
Devil's Advocate $8.33
Tommy Boy $3.33 (their way of showing my $5 web discount)

After tax my total was $48.24 and my invoice reflects that I have fulfilled my purchase requirements.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dorsalphin. It's good to have one confirmation that despite the web display, the system still appears to be working as before. Anyone else out there have an update?

I hope to have an update tomorrow. I ordered on October 22 and it is still listed as pending. They are certainly slow in getting the order out the door.

Well, I have an order number now. But the order type is Mail instead of Web and no $5 discount shows on the order.

Good news is my purchase requirements have been completed.

I ordered on the 22nd and looked today to find that everything has shipped, but I see no Funcash and my committment hasn't been changed at all, not even to reflect the purchase of anything.

I will wait another day or two and if I still see no change, I will call customer service because they assured me before ordering it online that the 3/$25 should count as 1 selection.

I think what is happening is that the cart system is messed up for whatever reason and what we are seeing is only 1 of the DVD's show up as .33 instead of two show up as .33 and one as .34 within the 3/$25 deal.
