3-for-25 = 1 commitment; Is it working now?

I will wait another day or two and if I still see no change, I will call customer service because they assured me before ordering it online that the 3/$25 should count as 1 selection.
I think what is happening is that the cart system is messed up for whatever reason and what we are seeing is only 1 of the DVD's show up as .33 instead of two show up as .33 and one as .34 within the 3/$25 deal.

Here's my experience.
Ordered 6 DVD's on 10/21, but got an error after submitting. Called CSR to confirm order went through. They confirmed there was an order and it should count towards my fulfillment despite the fact that it showed up as .33 and .34 on only two of the DVD's.
Checked my account, and the order was there, but no order # and everything marked pending and ****. There is also a duplicate of the order for some reason.
10/22 - the order now has an order #, and the duplicate appears to have disappeared.
10/26 - the order has shipped, my fulfillments still says 0 and no funcash. However, the duplicate has reappeared with an order # as an outstanding order, order type of "mail" and pending credit approval.
10/27 - called up CSR again and she cancelled the duplicate order and said she would adjust my account to have two fulfillments for the order that had shipped.
10/28 - checked my account, it says the account is fulfilled, no funcash from the order, and the duplicate order is still there, but order # is now "to be assigned" and order type of "web".

From my experiences in the past 1-2 months, I find that email is usually very effective in dealing with CH. I went the 5 + 3 * (3 for $25 ) route to fulfill my account. I had to exchange several mails over the past week. I always received prompt responses, and it looks like everything has been sorted out and all my orders are shipped.
I got 5 + 9 + 1 = 15 DVDs for ~ $2.5 + $70 + $4 (using funcash) = ~ $5.1 + CA tax (ouch!) per DVD. Sure, I had to work a little for it, but great deal, thanks to DVDtalk !

My first e-mail resolved nothing. I just called and got a CSR that could barely speak English. She said that the 3 for $25 doesn't count as fulfillment titles. I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold for so long that I eventually hung up. I just sent out a second e-mail to try to put an end to this ordeal. I am starting to get annoyed.

Please keep the replies coming. I don't think we've heard yet from someone who experienced ALL of the following:
a) put six 3-for-25 titles in their cart
b) cart showed .33/.34 next to only two
c) account fulfilled automatically without email/phone call/etc.
I'm starting to suspect that CH is not committed to allowing the 3-for-25 to continue to earn fulfillment credits. As we all know, if they're not sure, then problems can result.
fyi - if a 6-for-50 fulfillment attempt fails, then the cost for the associated account will wind up at $7.42 per DVD:
17.40 + 25 + 25 + 19.95 + 19.95 + 8.95 - 5 = $111.25 / 15 = $7.42 per DVD
Still not bad, but worse than the $6.80 per DVD under normal free-shipping-for-three conditions.

I played it safe, and got an email to the effect that my account would be fulfilled with the 9 for $75 before placing my order.

taa455 - that's "encouraging". Regarding the $5 web discount, am I correct in assuming that you used the CH/webdvd URL but still failed to get the $5 off? If so, did your cart show it??

Correct. It was in my cart when the order was placed. I just looked at my account history online to double check. Now a duplicate "pending" order shows in addition to the previous order which has been shipped and charged to my card.

Following up on my earlier email, the duplicate order that remained after I talked to CS has now disappeared. Everything is kosher except no Funcash for my order. Should've brought that up as well when I talked to CS, but I'm not going to bother now. My account is fulfilled, which is all I was really worried about.

Since my account has yet to be considered fulfilled, I decided to load my cart with 3 titles to see if they count as fulfillments. Now it doesn't say anything next to any of the titles except sale price. There was no .34 next to the top title, so I think that they might have killed this deal as a way to fulfill your accounts. There is also a glitch in their system. All orders, regardless if they count as fulfillments or not, should earn FunCash. I didn't receive the $6 in FunCash, even after they e-mailed me saying that they credited my FunCash account with the $6.

I got an e-mail this morning apologizing for the confusion with this order. The e-mail stated that they would adjust my account to show that I have completed my obligation and that I would have $6 in FunCash. My account shows the FunCash, but it still does not show that I have completed my obligation. I hope that they update my account by Monday, but I'm not worried now that I have an e-mail acknowledgement. Alls well that ends well.

I ordered my 6 DVDs to fufill my account on the 30th, I got an email just now saying it was shipped (I got Minority Report 2 disc and Planet of the Apes 2 disc so maybe thats why it took so long) but anyway the website hasn't updated yet to reflect it has been shipped and it still says I need to buy 2 more. Hopefully by morning it'll update so I can close it and get another account opened

I placed an online order on 10/22, even though only 2 of 6 titles were showing up as 'counting towards commitment', then the order vanished, reappeared with **** for price, then vanished again, then came back as a 'mail' order with correct pricing except WEBDVD coupon was missing. I emailed them and they said they would refund the $5 for WEBDVD. Other than that, the site said that my commitment status is 'fulfilled'.

Now it's showing it has been shipped (a couple days late letting me know that) but it still says I have to buy 2. I'll be shooting them an email right now.

Still appears to be working
After reading this thread...
Closed an old account and phone enrolled with Suzie morning of 10/30/2004 using code, and picked 6 titles for a total of $17.40.
Called every morning and evening to check to see if account was opened yet until 11/4 morning when I got Sally who I explained I was fulfilling my commitment using 2 sets of 3 for 25 = 1 commitment totaling $50.
Checked 11/5 afternoon to show commitment filled and all dvd's either shipped or pending shipment.
Did not get the $5 web coupon (although I may call on that) but did get a VERY clean and fast transaction and a total DVD price of:
($17.40 + $50)/12DVD's = $5.62/DVD (No S&H nor tax)

I leveraged the experience of someone else, and sent an email to CH asking for confirmation that buying 6 for 50 would count as two fulfillments. Their email response referenced my account number and stated:
"When the 6 movies in your Shopping Cart is shipped
it will count as 2 towards your obligation.
If we may be of further service, please let us know."
So, throwing caution to the wind, I just ordered the six at CH/webdvd. If I have a problem, I'll reply to their email to me requesting correction. If that fails, I'll call them (once.....or more...). At this point, I'm probably more curious than worried.

All in all, it worked out just fine, but I get nervous any time extra communication is required to resolve an issue with CH.
