They email me back to assure me that they will correct the mistake and that my account is now fulfilled. I just check my account and it still says I need 1 to fulfill. I am going to give them a day or two before a email them again or call.
My account is now fulfilled, no need for follow-up email! :)

Fixed mine with an email (well, two, but one was just a 2 sentence response to their autoresponse). Plus they didn't screw up my web discount. I hate having to actually communicate with CH, but at least it all worked out.

I'm about to join for the first time in a while, Can somebody please clarify two things for me:
1. When does the 3 for $25 finish.
2. What restrictions on selections are there for this offer

Thanks.

viking99 11-20-04 12:23 PM

MickM -
1) There is no published expiration date for the 3 for 25 offer. It has been in place continuously since at least September and, I believe, was also active in the July timeframe. Hopefully, this will be somewhat permanent, but there is no way of knowing. You may wish to consider using it aggressively while free shipping is in place.
2) Generally, it covers all titles with a regular CH price of $14.95. There are also some other titles that qualify as show in the 3 for 25 section of CH's website.

viking99 11-20-04 12:25 PM

Website still only shows .33/.34 for two out of six selections. It looks like I'll be calling CH again.....(not complaining, $5.20 per DVD is well worth a phone call)

thelwig14 11-20-04 07:56 PM

I had to call but it was easy and they were nice.

viking99 11-27-04 12:38 PM

As expected, my on-line account did not update to show six-for-50 counting as two fulfillments. Just for some variety, I went the email route this time. So far, I've gotten two emails back from CH assuring me that they've updated my data to show the account fulfilled, however the web site still shows zero purchases toward my fulfillment commitment.

MickM 11-27-04 06:16 PM

I've just become a member again for the first time in months. I've never used the 3-for-25 deal before and now that I've logged in, I'm darned if I can see how to get in on that deal. Can someone please show me the way? I'm sure it'll end up being something obvious and I'll have egg on my face afterwards...

viking99 11-27-04 07:29 PM

MickM - if you log into the website and scroll toward the bottom of the home page you should see a 3-for-25 section and/or banner. The details are linked to those, but basically upon checkout with 3 14.95 titles they should ring up as 8.33 each. This is automatic. What isn't automatic (but should be) is for each to count as .33 fulfillments. You'll probably see some with this indication, but not all. Hence, the need for a phone call to CH to have them fix it after your order processes. All the info you'll need is covered in the four pages of this thread.

EDIT: I should have added that there are some titles at other prices, including several $19.95 titles that will also qualify. I don't think we have a comprehensive listing, so you may need to browse the special pages on the website to get an idea of what's available. All 14.95 titles qualify.

Adrenaline 11-27-04 09:32 PM

We should start a list of $19.95 titles that come up as $8.33 with the 3 for $25 deal.

Dirty Harry is one them.

That's a great idea!

Thanks - I see it now. I think my problem was that I accessed my account by clicking on the Change Password link in the introductory email and somehow that never led me to the 3 for $25 link in the pages I saw afterwards. Anyway, I'm all set. Thanks.

I agree that making up that list would be a really great idea.

This is all I could find. The site is not displaying prices for many titles.

Update: it took two emails and, finally, a phone call to get CH to reflect my 3-for-25 counting as commitments. Next time I'll just start with the phone calls, as they tend to work better.

grivet 11-30-04 01:56 PM

Can the 3-for-$25 deal be ordered by phone? Since most people are having to call or e-mail anyway to get the fulfillment indicated on their account, I was curious if one could successfully fulfill over the phone and save a step. Going the phone route would also allow you to take advantage of some of the Thursday phone-only offers.

So any phone-in success stories or is 3-for-$25 online only?

Adrenaline 11-30-04 02:07 PM

If you use the phone method you won't get the $5 web coupon, I'd much rather make a phone call after I order online and save myself $5.

Ordering over the phone also qualified me for the special at the time of 'buy one DVD, get one free'.
To go slightly OT, was your phone order solely comprised of 3-for-$25 or did you have a $19.95 or greater mixed in? I'm curious if you can get B1G1 free with an order of only $14.95 titles, and if you can whether your free dvd would be limited to $14.95 titles or less.

@Adrenaline Yeah, I totally blanked on the "online" part of "$5 off first online order." Before the Thursday deals, I never considered fulfilling over the phone, so I forgot to factor in the $5 loss.

EDIT: Nevermind, deal below won't work as $5.95 stocking stuffers need a $19.95 dvd or greater on same order to register, so ignore the following

Though with my 3 fulfillment account I perhaps could do the following depending on the B1G1 answer in the question above:

Order 1 - Online - 3/$25 + $5.95 stocking stuffer - $5webdvd = $25.95 shipped free
Order 2 - Phone on Thursday - 3/$25x2 + free dvd + bonus funcash = $50 shipped free

For the phone order I assume you could clear up the fulfillment issues with both orders at the same time. So including the $2.45 enrollment, that's $78.40 for 16 titles or $4.90/dvd plus up to $20 in funcash depending on how they credit it. Obviously this would depend on the continuation of the Thursday deals and getting the right CSR and wanting that many cheap titles(which I do) plus it's a bit of a hassle, so YMMV. But if you're making a phone call anyway...
