Is this a relatively dead forum?

Just wondering if there is anything to this part of the forum.
This is the 1st time of me seeing this and am interested in the free ().com sites.

Is there a tip/trick area I'm missing?
What about have a listing of the best "instant point" offers?
Maybe list the quickest and easiest/cheapest offers too?
Maybe a list of the best "free stuff" to go for too?
Maybe noone does this anymore?

Newbie with the freebie stuff wants to know!

The FAQ is a sticky post at the top of this forum. I'd recommend reading that.

And a lot of the free dvds frenzy has quelled in the past year or two. A lot of members have completed all the non-credit card offers available and have moved on.

For a newbie such as yourself, I'll tell you that Freedvd4me.com has the best customer service, Freedvds.com has the best selection, YourFreeDVDs.com has the longest ship times, and PlanetFreeStuff.com steals your points for doing surveys. AnyDVDFree.com is a good one for Amazon.com GCs, so I guess they have the best selection.

One more thing: instead of doing offers right away at FreeDVD4me.com, wait until there is a weekly bonus that interests you before you do any offers. That way, you can score both points and a DVD in the process.

Thanks for all the info.

I've tried the spreadsheet thingie but it won't download. I think that would probably help me the most.

I m also interested in the freegames for the kiddies.

Again, thanks for the info.

One other thing: offers where you sign up for a one month or three month trial for $1 actually give out the rewards mentioned when you sign up. These include offers such as Connections, AutoVantage, Great Fun, Galleria, etc. When you sign up, just log in to your account and search for the redemption form request link. When you receive it, mail it the next day. I've missed out on a couple of free $25 GCs because I didn't think I'd receive them.

This forum has definitely come to a screeching halt from the old days... but I still think there is value. I havent been posting much, but there are still new offers that come up and are easy to complete. I have gone through virtually all of the offers worth doing, but I still have managed to squeeze out several more DVDs based on new offers. Im mostly talking about FreeDVD4me, because even though FreeDVDs.com may have a better point/offer ratio, I think their CS has gone down the toilet and it becomes a real pain to get credit for offers at times.

Recently, I have done the Infone, StarClubRewards, & efax plus offers on Freedvd4me. They are all real easy, easy to cancel too. Also, what evitagen said is definitely true. I joined Great Fun for $1, got the free walkie talkies, cancelled GF and then sold the walkie talkies on ebay for $16, so a $15 profit + the points!

One thing I slightly disagree with evitagen on is waiting to do offers for the weekly bonus... Certainly, the old standby's like AOL will be there all the time. Definitely wait to do this for the bonus. But I think some of the others tend to come and go, so in general I do some of the easy offers right away so that I dont completely miss out. Just my own strategy.

Hey all

Hey all,

Just checking in , I havent been here for a couple months now. I see that nothing too big has happened. I see someone was having trouble with the spreadsheet file, i will check it out right now. That FAQ took me a whole week straight to modify

Bye all

Dan

Hey, ebs0303, how was the efax offer in particular? I was thinking of signing up for it, but something made me re-think it. Can't remember exactly what it was, but was curious how your experience was? Was it relatively easy to cancel? They didn't try to charge your card a huge upfront fee for anything did they? Thanks for any info you have as I would like to do that one if it's relatively painless.

Avoid yourfreedvds at all cost as they are DOA now. Their site hasn't been updated since around the end of last year and it no longer processes orders automatically sending orders out every Friday. Ones only hope of getting anything is repeated emails and that was never useful before.

I believe they have even changed their company name to netblue or something from yfdirect.

badger - no, no charges (used a WC anyway... it was relatively easy to cancel via online chat... they do give you the typical lines when you try to cancel, but I assured them that I did the trial to see if I would use the service, and since I didnt and had no use for it, I wanted to cancel. It wasnt a big deal. Neither was cancelling StarClubRewards, did that over the phone but they didnt even do the usual stuff to try and get me to stay on.

Freedvd4me.com is also on the wayside, so I would recommend avoiding them as well. They stiffed me on two DVDs recently, won't respond to emails...same old tune.

I recommend FreeDVD4Me.com. They always add offers, offer the Weekly Bonus, and, in my experience, have excellent customer service [I get a response the next day, unless that day is Saturday, Sunday, or Monday]. My only complaint is they don't update their DVD catalog regularly. You may want to check your spam filter, Calistoga, because Yahoo sends all mail from FD4M to the Trash folder.

I'd have to totally agree. FreeDVD4me.com has the BEST customer service of any of the sites. Always quick responses to any email and they resolve all point issues promptly (usually within one business day). They also have the best deals on the bigger point DVDs, especially when you figure in the weekly bonus DVDs.
