I don't give out my sources, and as I am not Canadian, I don't belong to the Canadian CH, so you'd have to write your own data miner. Sorry.

Thanks BGA we appreciate your work greatly. I don't know if someone has posed this question or idea before, but I wonder if your source would work with the other club, like the DV2 or TV Club? It would be great if there was a miner for those other clubs also.

My guess is that it would, but I haven't joined those clubs yet.

I'm having trouble opening the file on Excel for Mac. (it collapses all data into the first column making it unsortable and barely readable).

Anyone have a suggestion?

I just tried it by downloading the .csv to the desktop and then opening the file from within Excel v.X. It seemed to work perfectly well. You might try grabbing the column header to expand it. If you can't select it, try highlighting all the cells (click the square in the top left corner or command-A) and then format:column width (from the menu) to set all the columns to a certain width (like 10 or 12).

If that doesn't work, send me a PM.

Hey bga, thanks for the update, but you might want to take a closer look at it! Seems like almost anything and everything is up for enrollments according to the new list! Got me all excited for a minute there.....

Yes, I just looked at it, and saw that too. Too often it shows too few enrollment, and I have to rerun the enrollment search. I'm afraid I won't have time to deal with it this week or next, so you'll have to check on the enrollments yourself. Sorry...

so there's a problem? i was looking at it myself and noticing that all of the titles that i have in my database as what i want are pretty much available for preorder. it seemed kinda strange that i could preorder all of the upcoming hitchcock titles for mega cheap.

As I said in the previous message, yes, there is a problem, and I won't have time to look at it until after it runs next week. The list itself is good, but the contents of the enrollment column are not reliable.

Another thing I noticed with the spreadsheet... all of the Justice League titles have been missing from the list for the last couple updates. I figured CH stopped carrying them or something, but I was just approved for an account this past week and saw them on the site as normal. I haven't noticed any other titles missing, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention in case something else is not getting picked up. Seems strange if only those four or so titles aren't being seen by the script.

bga,

sorry if it seemed like i was stepping on toes. didn't mean too, it was more of a confirmation question instead of a "wow, how dare there be a problem!!" kinda thing. thanks for all of your hard work.

I've noticed that several VERY expensive titles (such as the Bond box sets) are listed in the spreadsheet as being available for enrollment...is this an error by the data miner or are these box sets available for enrollment over the phone...if so, how many enrollment dvds do they count for?

I'm guessing you missed the posts on the last page. The list this week is out of whack, and bga won't be able to fix it for at least another week.

I noticed on the enrollment site that many unavailable titles were showing up under the actors'/directors' other works on the bottom of the listings, but if you click on the title you get an error. Perhaps this is a related problem? Hopefully it is, and saves bga some work.

How do you check on enrollment status titles? I haven't seen any little asteriks or anything like that on the CH web site...?

Easy, you go to the non-member section of the CH site and see if you can find the movie you want using the search function...

I fixed the enrollment column by updating it from the 7/27 run, then adding the new enrollments listed since then in this thread. The result should be 99.9% accurate. I've automated it and new runs only take seconds.

A new list is available. I fixed the enrollment list problem and the missing titles (Justice League, etc.) problem. CH messed up their website and put links in to titles not available for enrollment, so I had to change my script to not assume that links imply that the title is available for enrollment. I suspect that most of the new titles are not new, rather that I just wasn't finding them before.
